Bradley Beal is a good player, but he was never that guy.
People need to be honest and acknowledge that last season was arguably Brown’s worst defensive season of his career. He was a negative defender and passer.
Beal had a case for being the better player at the time, but Brown’s re-commitment to defense puts Brown back over Beal.
Goodman really wanted JB traded.

please explain why the celtics are outbidding themselves with record breaking supermax to Tatum and Brown? most people agree they are second tier talent. celtics 2024 success is founded on the strength of the supporting cast and overpaying Tatum and Brown inherently makes it unsustainable to keep that support team strength. supermaxes are intended for teams to retain generational superstars such as Curry, Doncic, Jokic, Durant. that's been the NBA model to put role players around 2 superstars. the celts will have no superstars, but will be paying two superstar contracts and shooting themselves in the foot for the future
