I don't know if you will but please react to uttarakhand songs .Kumauni language is from uttarakhand but there are garhwali, jaunsari and other language songs as well. The music here is quite unique. My recommendation would be Pandavas channel. Jubin Nautiyal is from uttarakhand and he have some songs in those languages as well.

From my perspective the states in India where the general majority of people are daily wage earners and practically oppressed by the system and the state, regatone-ish and upbeat, on the floor music does well cause that's what helps people destress and dance when they're drunk. And on top of that is the lyrics are in your local language it obviously connects more and you feel represented. Not like the southern states doesn't have those issues but majorly because it's just what they grow up on and obviously everywhere there's good melodic music.
I hope you will bring some Bhojpuri songs like " Sir Ke Sundoor Re Gavanva or Aptan Laagi Rah or Nathuniya Pagal Kaile Ba or Lollipop Lagelu or Ban Ke Sawariya" Because the history of this language is 1000 years older than Hindi so try it ❤❤

South Indian music vise really cooks, but I don't like listening to that language, probably because of a lot of 'da' or 'ada' sounds. Don't hate me for it but the language is not a pleasure for my ears.
I thought I was the only one who felt this way. The language sounds too harsh for my ears but the music is always really nice. I prefer the Malayalam songs, they sound more sweet and flows like butter like Bengali and Hindi songs.
Think of they react to our " animated movies song " like " aashman ko chukaar aaye" , I mean that would be crazy right, I mean they do goes hard tho 😅😊
you seem to have wrong person with limited knowledge and research....there are plenty more then this ..punjabi song are well received only in uk very much ,since it is monotonous in every of the songs it is not well heard off regularly in most part of the world ...I am from malaysia ,,,south east asia has significant sikh community but the music never been the mainstream except hindi tamil telugu and malayalam. having said that punjabi sikh music is very much adrenaline rushing item wish are suitable for disco and mass dance gathering...i enjoyed them very. much
