It's pretty gamey but really good if you season it up well like he did or have it with veggies and spices in a slow cook pot roast.. sooo tender and yummy
All wild game in my opinion is much much better tasting then anything you can buy in the store! I love deer Moose elk bear wild boar it all tastes so much better when you harvest it yourself rather then buying it from the store! :)

I didn't realize I was holding my breath till Sarah took her shot. That buck was beautiful. Great job. I'm not a big fan of venison, but that looked really really good. Of course I'd have to do it without the pecan pumpkin butter seeing as I'm deathly allergic to pecans, but I suppose I could find something close to that.

Only went hunting about 3 times growing up, but grew up around a lot of guns. I started wanting to hunt and got into archery. My first season was last year and didn't get anything. This year still zero but I've learned so much from failing the prior year. Live in southern WV and this year does look promising, so just wanted to say thanks to you and your brother for the videos and also the knowledge. Keep hammering!!!!

Just a tip I’ve found helpful with shooting a compound, see the hand gripping the handle of the bow is closed when she shoots which causes her to grip it a little when she shoots, which tweaks that bow and could throw your shot off, I’ve found it helpful to hold it in between my thumb and index finger and keep my fingers off the bow
Out deer season is September 1st to January 1st. So my favorite day to hunt in any day when the season in out because there’s not anyone one else hunting
Friday following Thanksgiving is my favorite hunting day of the year. Full rut and clear mind. Best day of the year, kill or no kill. Except Christmas.

Sat down hi up in my tree stand and tried to calm down all I could hear was the pounding of my heart concentration on the last spot I saw him in the direction he went slowing heart rate and hoping it was a shot and I the arrow was true finally relaxed to come down and start hunting for the arrow tracking looking back to stand no arrow searching for trail leaves all have small red spots aha actually blood tracking adrenaline heart pounding follow I’m crawling in the woods then ..... reveals my efforts..... I am forever hooked ...... that was back in 1999 . Nowadays i stay on the ground and have moved onto primitive equipment for the challenge. Go Arringtons, you 2 are meant for life together, people this is what every marriage should experience................
November nTH. December nTH. I gotta get my stuff together this weekend! I leave for back home in VA on Wednesday morning. I got good deer meat in the freezer from last year. Heck, I got a few zip locks from 2019. I can pick-n-choose this year. Now, that's fun!!

Congratulations Sarah on your biggest Buck thus far. I will try cooking our venison back strap like yours, it looks tasty. My husband's great grandson just shot his biggest buck which he also cleaned under his dad's direction.
