it's been a long time since i post my works on youtube, so hi again!
somehow recently i've been watching many animation meme , so i'd like to try one of it with my own touch. it's not really my first try, but i'll try to keep improving!

This is a story of a young man who, after working himself to death (Karōshi), enters the afterlife as a demon (Oni) and learns the value of taking things slow.

This video is a perfect example of how music and the right image can have a huge impact on your emotions, the slightly jarring music along with a dark carriage of a train (opposed with the earlier scenes) and the fact that the only character in the scene that we as the audience are aware of is the dead body under the cover, it genuinely gave me the best rush of dread, I can’t stop myself from coming back to this video over and over again!

okayyyy so I have a theory..
the main guy (brown hair dude) overworks himself, in the very first frame he seems really tired. hes on a train back from work, and it seems like he's falling asleep. the flashes could either be dreams, snippets of his life, or his soul doing mad things as he slowly starts to die (represented by the guy with horns) ? anyway, theres all that, and he imagines his work 'problem that you can't defend' (around 0:45??) and how much he has to do alongside completely imaginary things (Like being underwater for example.) which could show him worrying about his work. the feel okay part is him trying to shrug off how much work he actually has to do. then his death at the end could be from exhaustion and overworking, and the idea of 'two time' is his life repeating before him before he dies mixed in with dreams, maybe things he wanted to do. I dont know what the chick is symbolic of but if I work it out ill edit, it might just be a chick
milky bubbles I also have a theory: What if he was astral projecting(0:05and he is a different creature in astral planes. But he was there for too long and the silver cord which connects his physical and spiritual body snapped(0:50) and kills him in real life(1:05) just my thoughts lol

Like I was wandering what was all of that and then the end arrived and I felt so weird and bad for forgetting that kid who has just died and it's done so well. Less than a second to see this dark bus and the wrapped corpse and just understand the situation. No need of more information.

I have a theory
The overworked character is sleeping on the train, and having a "fever dream" about his problems. The demon represents his dream self. He either dies from exhaustion, or at 0:19 when he bangs his head on the glass.

every month or so this will appear on my recommended, and every time I feel compelled to watch it. its so comforting.
For some reason I feel like this style of drawing and random objects that fit it only with these scenes really compliments the mistmatched feel of the meme, the song is very retro and electric and this style really makes it beautiful! Reading all these theories I feel that this meme is very well thought out though it comes across are random? I don’t know, there just seems to be a lot of detail and very well thought out objects that may well represent some things?
If not then it’s still amazing and really compliments the mismatched and retro theme!
