Zach, any tips for testing wax with a limited ski fleet? prepare all with the same base wax and test different liquid topcoats? 1 ski at a time? i was at Craftsbury Sunday for the freestyle. fun race, challenging downhill conditions!
Again, great information. Though I'm mostly a recreational skier I love fast skis and you videos sure help. I have used the Vahuti pure Pro liquid products with good success, especially when I had a hot wax that was too cold or warm and no way to rewax. Is shipping of the liquid waxes an issue?
I’ve seen old-school liquids/gels turn to kind of a dry crumbly toothpaste. (5-10 years?) Guessing more to do with the container or forgetting to cap it back up good and tight. Maybe Rode is on to something using aluminum containers? Guessing the solvents dry out through the plastic pores or simply more air in the container as liquid ratio diminishes. (I’m just an armchair nerd, so take that with a grain of salt)
Yeah, for sure they are used frequently on the World Cup. Davide maintains confidentiality on information from teams, but he gets good feedback and sometimes he hears directly that the product is being used. Other times he gets request for a resupply of a quantity of wax that makes it apparent that wax was used (or else lost!)
My opinion exactly ; way too complicated ! To simplify waxing, 2 products, one for above zero C. + one for sub zero. Case closed ! What a nightmare for wax tech. & average joes...
Omg Zach! I love these videos. I’m SUCH a huge fan

I really like the idea of a line of waxes recommended to a specific region. Especially northern WI....hint.....hint.....haha. Thanks for the info Zach

Any idea of shelf life of the liquids? Will these be OK sitting in my wax box for a year or two (assuming I store them at reasonable temps ...)?

Definitely store them upright. All the liquids I've used seem to leak a bit if stored horizontally in a box.
Are these used on the World Cup?!?!

Super helpful summary, Zach! Hoping you get that shipment of the new stuff soon.
You are so cool
