Why don't you do, maybe, a Kickstarter Page for the Iguana enclosures ? I think maybe, at least a small Percentage of your Subscribers would be happy to help you afford the Lumber ^-^
He has all the lumber, he had to wait on the mesh netting because the original shipment was too thin. But then with COVID, the company had to shut down for a few months. He received it last month and was waiting for it to cool down before working on it. He’s talked about it on Patreon Live.
Didn’t pay much attention to reptiles (seemed it was always snakes - which I found boring) till Kamp Kenan. Wow. I follow a lot of channels now and thoroughly enjoy the variety of reptiles and tortoise and etc, etc. Thank you for sharing. Love Kate and the kids helping you out now and then.
I’m so glad that UA-cam recommended your video on my page. I’ve recently adopted a large sulcata and your videos are so detailed, informative, interesting, etc.. a few members of my family got baby sulcatas and I recommend that they follow you. You’re the reptile king! I live in Hawai’i so it’s so cool to see the different reptiles you have. Since we’re not allowed to have majority of those here.
I have to say, I'm totally in love with Guapo and Lola. They're like a cranky old married couple, and they're so dang interesting as a species. I love them!
Hi Kenan, I am so glad to see how your animal's are doing. I'm one of those who thought you reminded me of Tom Hanks and he's a great actor since he came out on TV in the early 1980's. But I will say that you are doing an amazing thing and also showing us a lot of great info on those pets of yours. I have learned lot from you, Brian, Chandler since I been watching you guys. Thank you for everything you have done.
Got recently my first reptile (crested gecko), after months of watching you Kenan. Thanks for the inspiration, and the eye you shine on the lizard world
For snakes and lizards that eat rodents I inject food items with cod liver oil frequently. It is nutritious and the oil helps keep constipation from excessive rodent hair at bay. Great content! I love seeing people I worked with from FL in your vids, it brings back such great memories!!!!!
Love your videos. Please keep doing Sulcata video. I’m learning so much about tortoises. I grew up with desert and box. I still have my box turtle from when I was a kid. Grew up with Mojave desert tortoises . I now have my own rescued male Sulcata.
I only found your channel a couple months ago but I love it! It’s awesome how many animals you have and how beautifully you care for them! I really enjoy and look forward to your videos! Happy anniversary! I hope you and wifey have a great one. Can’t wait to see the new black dragons!
So, I do feel your pain. We are still recovering from back to back Hurricanes. (Delta scared us!) The rain saturated the ground first, and then Damn if we didn't get more! Good Luck. Watch out for Fungus!!
i have fallen in love with this channel ❤ i have learned so much thank you for all that you do to educate us. I have got myself a few tortoise because of this channel I love them.
I started with snakes, loved them, then got my first monitor and I discovered what love really is. Re: Slinky's pond that you have to jackhammer out, are you planning to put a female with him ? Looks like it would be a nice place for her to lay a clutch if you fill it with the right medium instead. sure would be easy to collect the eggs for incubation then.
If you really want to get rid of the swamping, you could get drainage pipes installed in the ground. We use them here in the Netherlands to help keep our crops dry. You have to decide if it is worth it or not for you though.
Will be awesome when you get your black dragons, hope they turn out just as awesome as your current monitors which I'm sure they will! So cool to see slinky and pinky wanting to interact with you more now, in time I'm sure lagatha will as well!
Would it be easier to start a new enclosure for Slinky somewhere else, move pinky as she grows into his current space, then the new black dragons into her house? The jackhammering and such seems like ALOT of work....
Plant a bunch of banana and pine apples in the heavily flooded areas. Banana trees drink a TON of water and pineapples naturally catch water. Both will also aerate the soil helping with drainage.. Can turn a problem area in your yard into free fruit.
I think it’s safe to say that tortoises have been too conservatively classified as herbivores for far too long. Like Kenan said, we really should consider them scavengers that just happen to mostly have plants at their disposal, but they’ll eat feces, bugs, carrion and other things if available. The forest dwelling species have more opportunity to eat these alternate foods than their scrub and grassland cousins.
In the UK torts are in enclosures most of the time. The advice is to not put rocks or slate under lamps as torts can’t gauge temperature correctly undeneathe and can burn themselves
Do you have a Greek tortoise? I'm getting mine like a couple minutes after 9am when Petco opens... It's kinda impulsive but it's been like months in seeing (I'm going to name him/her I don't know which one yet but back on track it's name is going to be (Y)panoptes... The (Y) is silent because all my kids have a Y in their names
Would a short piece of PVC pipe with a screen or cap with holes drilled in it under the fence help make draining the red foot area? or possibly a tiny flood gate you can just lift?
Is it possible to keep a water monitor or nile monitor outside year round in socal...I've seen a lot of breeders in Florida usually have outdoor enclosures
Kevin from Nerd & Rob are full of awesome information & i can't wait to see the 2 new family member's ( The Black Dragon's) WTG Kamp Kenan looking forward to seeing what's going to happen....
Just send me your rain Kenan...us here in oz, we are desparate for rain...the flora is struggling to sustain the wildlife and animals are starving...rainfall has been minimal over many months, im afraid we may get it all at once...not good for the weak...
Do you have any false map turtles? I have never heard you talk about them before. I just recently rehomed a couple from my mom and just figured out that's what they are yesterday. Any tips?
Why don't you do, maybe, a Kickstarter Page for the Iguana enclosures ?
I think maybe, at least a small Percentage of your Subscribers would be happy to help you afford the Lumber ^-^
by just watching we basically are all already donating money via youtube ;)
Yess
Yeah, this is a good idea.
He has all the lumber, he had to wait on the mesh netting because the original shipment was too thin. But then with COVID, the company had to shut down for a few months. He received it last month and was waiting for it to cool down before working on it. He’s talked about it on Patreon Live.
Or he could use his patreon money for it!! That’s what Clint and Emily do every dollar they make on it goes back to the animals somehow!!
He's my favorite reptile channel on UA-cam along with Tyler Nolan and Chandler's Wildlife.
Same

Cool
I'm 73 so I don't know how long my "long haul" will be... but I shall be here long haul for as long as I have !
Happy Anniversary for Sunday xx
Hope you and Kate have a great day together xxx
WOW! I heard about that rain! 😬😬
I have to say, I'm totally in love with Guapo and Lola. They're like a cranky old married couple, and they're so dang interesting as a species. I love them!
Did you notice the turtle in their house at 15:33? lol

"Why don't you love me, Jenny? I'm not a smart man, but I know what love is."
You can drill holes on that wood you put on the redfoot's enclosure.
True
And those holes would just get clogged like the hole he already has.
Got recently my first reptile (crested gecko), after months of watching you Kenan. Thanks for the inspiration, and the eye you shine on the lizard world

Also adding (for those that will/can eat it) a Oily kind of fish mixed into the diet helps too

You're friggin awesome!

Wow the change in Pinkie is amazing!
Wow, that's so cool that Pinky was climbing onto your arm. The trust is building man.
So, I do feel your pain. We are still recovering from back to back Hurricanes. (Delta scared us!) The rain saturated the ground first, and then Damn if we didn't get more! Good Luck. Watch out for Fungus!!

Love the rain, as do most of my babies. So excited you're getting a pair of dragons!
Slinky is loving those pets
Kamp Kenan is amazing thanks for putting this online for us to see. You're an inspiration my friend keep her going!
I love your tours to see how everyone is doing. Slinky is my favorite but the others are beautiful also. Thanks for sharing. 🙂❤
Paradise for ur animals. Fun splashing in the water. 👍👍🎉🎉
Always awesome to see you and Kamp Kenna!!!
I started with snakes, loved them, then got my first monitor and I discovered what love really is.

Florida, USA: "It's been raining for the last week and a half"
Alberta, Canada: "Its been snowing for the last week and a half"
Meanwhile in California- there’s no rain, no snow. Can we say drought. Please send some of that wet stuff to California. We could sure use it.
Yeah, this snow can heck off already (also hi fellow Albertan and presumed leo owner, lol)
If you really want to get rid of the swamping, you could get drainage pipes installed in the ground. We use them here in the Netherlands to help keep our crops dry. You have to decide if it is worth it or not for you though.
I don’t have a problem and others shouldn’t. I’m super excited to see them interacting with you.
Thank you for sharing this!
I love the monitor lizards ,and I love the way they love you .
Will be awesome when you get your black dragons, hope they turn out just as awesome as your current monitors which I'm sure they will! So cool to see slinky and pinky wanting to interact with you more now, in time I'm sure lagatha will as well!
Looks like your gettin a lil bit of rain lol
I Love your monitors! You can talk about them all the time! They truly are like dogs with scales!💕💕💕💕
Awww Pinky ❤️’s you now ! So cute
I'm so glad you decided to get a pair of black dragons I can't wait to watch them grow up and hopefully make some more babies👍👍👍
Would it be easier to start a new enclosure for Slinky somewhere else, move pinky as she grows into his current space, then the new black dragons into her house? The jackhammering and such seems like ALOT of work....
Really love your animals those monitors are awesome!
Love seeing the monitors, keep it up love seeing the learning and progression. keep up the amazing work Kenan
Plant a bunch of banana and pine apples in the heavily flooded areas. Banana trees drink a TON of water and pineapples naturally catch water. Both will also aerate the soil helping with drainage.. Can turn a problem area in your yard into free fruit.
There is no soil. It’s all sand.
Sending sunshine and good weather from Bavaria we or better I want snowfall😅🤣 soon even if it's a challenge for my new wheelchair 😆
Same with my yard haha!
I think it’s safe to say that tortoises have been too conservatively classified as herbivores for far too long. I love ur yard but importantly the conservation you do with turtles and reptiles u bring awareness to everone who watches 🐲🐍👍
Would love that stuff from the beginning it reminds me of my grandpas house.
Those were the best days
すごい環境だな😮👏
This man's backyard is an actual zoo
I always thought monitors were poisonous saliva biting machines. Thanks for educating me.
Man every video let me forget my strugle in life for some time, thank you for that
Beautiful
You can send the rain to California 👍👍🙂
I don't blame you I don't care for the rain either especially when it is pouring and you have to do your best to get through it lol 😄
Plant weeping willows!
Recede, I think that’s the word you’re looking for.
I feel ya man. Had a day where we had rain all day, and was the only spot on the east coast with rain.
In the UK torts are in enclosures most of the time. The advice is to not put rocks or slate under lamps as torts can’t gauge temperature correctly undeneathe and can burn themselves
Your camp is amazing
Definitely one of my top discoveries on youtube this year, I really enjoy your videos dude, keep up the good work ^^

Stay positive. Always makes my day watching these videos. Also made me rescue a red eared slider that was wounded. Thanks for the motivation
Is it possible to keep a water monitor or nile monitor outside year round in socal...I've seen a lot of breeders in Florida usually have outdoor enclosures
The Galapagos turtles are my favorite love your videos!
Just a thought. I've seen UA-cam videos about folks who build their homes out of mud and hay blocks. Would that work to build your enclosures?😊
Not in Florida with hurricanes.
♡Nugget♡ 🥰 SO CUTE!!!!!!
When you upgrade slinky, please put a French drain in that Vestibule!
Kevin from Nerd & Rob are full of awesome information & i can't wait to see the 2 new family member's ( The Black Dragon's) WTG Kamp Kenan looking forward to seeing what's going to happen....
Did you say, “everyone thinks I look like Tom hanks”? LMAO. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You don’t even resemble Tom hanks in the least!!!!!!
He sounds like him is what he meant to say.
Love little nugget!!
Wonder how well a river shrimp breeding setup would do in florida
You would hate it in Scotland. We get rain the majority of the year, and rarely get into double figures temperature wise ( °C )
Ever since your trip to see Kevin at NERD, I’ve been waiting impatiently to watch your relationship flourish with Pinky.
for me they are like lovely dragons, crazy beautiful as many other reptiles but the behavior is unique
Forest Gump is my favorite movie. Also how do we buy torts from you? Is there a list of what's available somewhere?
I love ur videos, they helped me get interested in reptiles
Love to see the relationship between you and pinks is progressing, hopefully it stops raining soon😁❤
I want to see what you've learn while at Kevin's and apply with Slinky, pinky and Legatha
If you try a warm place for him to swim, that would get stuff moving without medication, usually.
7:34 one of many reasons why I watch your channel , lol !
Me too.
😸😸😸
I wish we had the rain here in Arizona that you have in florida you are lucky be glad you have it
So the large monitors like Lagatha don’t pose a risk of biting the tortoises heads or feet?
Slinky is like I smell my girl pinky
Just send me your rain Kenan...us here in oz, we are desparate for rain...the flora is struggling to sustain the wildlife and animals are starving...rainfall has been minimal over many months, im afraid we may get it all at once...not good for the weak...
Monitor lizards are the best!
Great stuff and awesome videos keep them coming.
Love seeing the monitors! Man I wish it would rain here. It’s been like. 200 something days?? We could use it here!
when will Buttercup come back to the Camp, how long does renewing your permit take?
He said it takes a couple of weeks.
I love and support everything you're doing for these animals, Kenan, but one question, buttercup won't eat those tortoises?
Kenan should should get legless llizards
Cool!!!!!
Why don't you set up a temporary PVC-drain pipe by the Red-Foots habitat. Would make your work so much quicker/ easier ?
Wow pinky has come a long way
I love your videos there awesome keep it up👍
Send the rain up to Middle California we sure could use it
Dear UA-cam please relocate the beautiful skip ad button to the top right thanks
evaporate was the word lol
Arizona would love to have rain for a week straight, not even 2 inches of rain water in 2020 so far.
@ॐ गणेश ॐ I know especially with the huge fires we are having too
Do you have any false map turtles? I have never heard you talk about them before. I just recently rehomed a couple from my mom and just figured out that's what they are yesterday. Any tips?
No
Give us some rain its been 9 months since it rained here freaking weather
Snakes!!! Lots more snakes. Yeah, I know...winter. Still, though.
