What bothers me is the thought of the criminals retaliating for stopping them from robbing me. The way the law is structured gives the advantage to criminals, because I believe once the intent to commit the crime and/or harm me is created as proven in the video; that should give law abiding citizens the privilege to neutralize the threat without worrying about going through legal hell for surviving. Absolutely necessary that he call police. If he had not, those two would have done one of two things; they could have called to report crazy lyft driver who pulled a gun on them (and they barely escaped) or they would have continued their plan calling on other lyft or Uber drivers. In fact any bystander could easily have called cops with their own version of what they’d seen. In this case, as in case of attackers calling first, cops would have been looking for defender - pissed they had to look for him and aggressive because their assumption is that he’s armed and dangerous. After you call they’ll be a bit suspicious but assumption is that you are the victim in need of assistance.

Maybe I’m wrong in thinking this but why was it necessary to call the cops? It seems like you beat the threat and calling the cops would put you at risk of legal repercussions.
Because of the possibility that the thugs would call 911 first, and then law enforcement enters the situation with only their side of the story, i.e. "We we're just getting an Uber ride and the driver went crazy, pointed a gun at us, and called us racial slurs!" If that's all that the police hears, then they have to assume that the defender was actually the instigator of the situation, and criminally liable for his actions. You want to be the first to call 911 so it's clear from the beginning who the victim is.

SADLY… politics are a part of life, period! We can’t change that or ignore it! I do my very best to avoid discussing politics as much as humanly possible!! Politics are based on personal opinions and EVERYONE has an opinion (Most ppl won’t listen, won’t rationally discuss, and will never change their mind!) Most political views aren’t even based in facts and are voiced by uneducated individuals, these are the most dangerous political views in the general public (even scarier are the ones that are agenda based and narrative driven, but those are mostly actual Politicians). Most ppl’s political views/opinions are based solely on something they heard someone say or seen on the news (never having researched or educating oneself in the given topic), there will ALWAYS be the “sheep” (90%) of the populace that CAN NOT (or WILL NOT) think for them selves. Everyone’s opinion is correct, “yours are wrong because my opinion is mine and you don’t know what your talking about…!” This is the true problem we face as (the 10%) free thinking individuals. As ppl who can think for themselves, who question what’s going on, what we’re being told by the news & the government, and ppl in general. We educate ourselves (knowledge IS power). We do the research, we train, don’t try to “interpret” what is written PLAINLY for everyone to see, it’s written plainly and needs NO interpretation! {Language evolves… definitions change… words have different meanings NOW than they did 250 yrs ago… Shakespearean plays were “written the way ppl actually spoke at the time”, The Constitution was “written in the way ppl actually spoke at the time” [yes it may include some “legal terms” but legal terms are PLAIN/SIMPLE language once you understand them, and are so for this very reason!] as modern books/movies are written the way we actually speak now}. (If 1,000 ppl read something there will be 1,000 different interpretations of said thing) sad FACT. Each & every person is an individual NO 2 are alike. Our bodies work differently, our chemistry works differently, our minds process things differently, our emotions trigger differently, and our thought processes are governed and altered by our emotions! Politics are a constant and very real part of our everyday lives, all of our life, even as children. It’s in the work place (when you’re maneuvering to place yourself for consideration for that position or that promotion that’s work place politics) It’s in our schools, not just college (in high school all those clicks, the athletes or chess club etc are all governed by a form of politics). The networking you do in your community, or operating a business to build clientele, the church committees, are all forms of politics! It all disgusts me but you can’t get through life w/o being involved in some sort of political group at some level…
I think the 3rd scenario is made up. It is an advertisement for the USCCA. If it was real, we would have heard from the actual victim and not an actor.

How about getting more into what the detectives missed, and was found by the attorney, in the 3rd video? Surely there is a way to shed light on that without revealing the identity of those involved?
Facts: He got lucky...no disrespect to him. Verry happy for him. He was very smart to have a dash cam. That in fact was the pivotal evidence that allowed the police to relate and support him with a positive attitude. Good planning. We all need that. Any time you are sneak attacked, and outnumbered, luck is a wonderful thing. Just wondering why no safety protocols. #1 idea is CHECK ID before unlocking door. "PLEASE HOLD YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE AGAINST THE CLOSED FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW." DEDICATED DASH CAM ON THAT WINDOW. PURPOSE: ELIMINATE 2 MAJOR ADVANTAGES we hand to bad guys on a silver platter. (Are we totally clueless or what?) ADVANTAGE #1. ELIMINATES THEIR AYSYMETRIC INFORMATION AND ASYMETRIC TACTICAL ADVANTAGE. ADVANTAGE #2 : REMOVES ANONYMINITY , BAD GUYS ALWAYS THRIVE AND ARE GREATLY EMPOWERED AND EMBOLDENED IN THEIR ANONYMITY. FACT CHECK ALL THAT. IF They have a problem with that? ROLL. Why not use 100 or more horsepower to save you instead of a few foot pounds of lead?

It is only a stenciled marketing slogan on the cruiser. Fact check that if you did not know that...don't forget. You NEED a lawyer not an attitude.
And any Castle Doctrine should provide lawful self defense, even if a person is invited into a car or home , the criminal's violated your rights , that's a win for the criminal's.
"Go slow, take your time, and get your hits. And it'll be the fastest thing he's ever seen in his life."
Wow.
For the record, BJ just won championship #8. 😉
The last story, the judge and police needs to be held accountable. Arresting law abiding citizen while being lenient on criminals
It’s Typical when prosecutors defend criminals and want to charge law abiding citizens.
Very misleading. If he had discharged his firearm and or hit a thug, the Interrogation will not have been so "cordial". Anything you say CAN & WILL be used against you in front of a jury.
Just a thought!
@@jcfindley380 granted! Safe to say we simply play show & tell with violent criminals hoping they backdown as an effort to preserve their lives and avoid legal persecutions. Then pray for this violent criminal’s next victim as said criminal will be better prepared and more likely to kill their next victim in order to take what they believe they’re entitled to. Am I understanding you correctly?
Amazing marketing honestly 200IQ move😂😂😂
If you shop where these kind of guys might show up, you definitely need to carry!
I wish the driver story had a happier ending with him eliminating the threat to future victims, but glad he's ok.
I've had incidents where police were aggressive upon arrival. Now if you can't speak to the police about what happened some officer's can get irritated ( So why did you call if you can't give us information) that's tricky and tactical. And so even if you call an attorney, the police really get nothing to go on . Was it nessassary to call the police in Scotts situation, He had his sim card to back his clam.
🤣"...back his clam" We know what you meant, I'm still enjoying the laugh 😂Totally unhinged my thoughts on your comment.
Okay, back to not laughing while trying to type. Remember, even being your neighbor, doing work means I am not your buddy still. Always give only technical information to officers, then get counsel. Nothing more, we're trained to keep you gabbing your life away. Two edge sword Lady Justice has. Scott's story is tame, scary af when you're in that time though. He did hit on something that should be addressed----crap, have to find it
About 4 1/2 minute in, he speaks of mobility. Being able to draw and hit *ALL THE TIME* even at oddball angles does matter. Car hits park, belt either went off or is in the process (yea, mom still hates how quick I am about that. Reasons I'm not going to talk to her about). The other part of mobility is being off hand capable. Even with a SERPA sportster I can draw it off hand and engage. Slow af though
@@finngamesknudson1457 I'm just saying , he had it on Camara , in today's justice by calling the police he could have incremeanated himself even giving a little information to police, now he has to call his lawyer because he is unsure what will happen next. He may end up in trouble for the way he handled the situation, how many peop would have elected to not call in fear of wrong doing even if they were victims. I'd say a lot of people would !
The more videos of cases like this I watch, the more I am convinced that the laws are 100% designed to protect criminals.
How do you win the free gun it keeps asking me to sign up and pay???
I will usually go to Open Range Sports at least once a month for Advanced Pistol sessions.
did that first guy really pretend his phone was a gun
What state was the last one in?
Wisconsin
How does castle doctrine NOT apply? So he "invited" them in, once they instigate their robbery then that "legal protection" for the thugs should immediately end.
Without his dash video, the punks could have easily accused him of robbing them. Then it's just who do the police want to believe.
Sounds like you've got a misunderstanding of what exactly Castle Doctrine is. I recommend all of the videos that this channel has on the topic
Off body carry is worthless unless you have two guns.
Off body carry is off body carry regardless of how many guns you have
Wait! As a ride share driver the castle doctrine doesn't apply because they are invited in?? That's pretty messed up.
I don't think she is correct in this case because the criminals presented themselves to be passengers and the ride wouldn't have been offered to them had they presented themselves as criminals.
You are so blessed in the USA,we in Australia have no defence at all.if you even physically defend your own life here the police treat you as the criminal.
Did they catch the Car Jackers?
But they were only invited into the car, as customers not as criminals, surely that brings some bearing to the situation 🤷🏼♂️
BJ’s girlfriend tori is a world class shooter in her own right. Why wasn’t she armed?
My carry gun is a chrome plated Ruger SP101 in .357 Magnum with a 2.25 inch pipe. The load is Federal 125 grain JHPs. At close range you wouldn't want to take one of those in the Solar Plexus.
So caught up in how cool your gun and choice of ammo are that your probably going to be the guy we hear about missing the intended target 5 times at 2 yards and getting curb stopped
@@Matticus289 😂😂😂😂curb stomped is crazy 🎃
Maybe I’m wrong in thinking this but why was it necessary to call the cops? It seems like you beat the threat and calling the cops would put you at risk of legal repercussions.
Because of the possibility that the thugs would call 911 first, and then law enforcement enters the situation with only their side of the story, i.e. "We we're just getting an Uber ride and the driver went crazy, pointed a gun at us, and called us racial slurs!"
If that's all that the police hears, then they have to assume that the defender was actually the instigator of the situation, and criminally liable for his actions. You want to be the first to call 911 so it's clear from the beginning who the victim is.
Should he have had to turn his weapons over?
Did the police ever catch the 2 losers from the LyftShare? Since the POS SUS dropped his keys in the car.
USCCA needs to get out of Wisconsin and bring the entire business and staff to the Great Republic of Texas! No where will you have more freedom and like-minded people
Invited in... under false pretenses. Invitation revoked. Just my opinion.
Yes the perks misrepresented themselves
In California Castle doctrine does not extend to your car
What idiot still lives in Commiefornia
@@justpray365 40 million.
The man in the first video did everything right and still had to get a lawyer, whats with that?
@@rodvan-zeller6360 Can't see what Corn Pop said. Still the reason you get a lawyer is to keep your ass out of the klink. You say one wrong thing to an officer and the DA is constipated you end up in bracelets. Seriously, only basic *_KNOWN_* information, then get counsel. Do not let them bait you into talking/running your gums/chewing the fat. 😂Been on both sides, it's amazing how some people love to talk. Get their ass in a sling that they're making for themselves.
Oh 👍for enlightening us on CA law
@@ScrappyXFL A normal involuntary reaction to the adrenal stress is to talk too much, cops know this and capitalize on it. A cop who is a decent human being would tell him to be quite until the attorney is present.
Aaron Rogers?
He did exactly what he should have. I think killing soneone is an absolute last resort. These guys were no longer a threat as they ran away. If he fired, unfortlualy he would have been in trouble. Right or wrong that’s what would have happened. The good guys really don’t have any rights.
So the attorney says wait to talk to an attorney I guess what until the bad guys have gotten away or gone in carjacked somebody else? Was she going to pick up the phone at 2:00 in the morning?
That's why uscca coverage is so important. 24/7 emergency response. We're directed to call immediately after calling police
Martial artist
The 2nd guy left out so many details. For the majority of the story I had no idea the positioning of any of the people involved or what was happening
How much of the $68,500 did he have to pay?
so your suppose to tell the cop i dont answer question and then google a criminal defense attorney?? i dont know if this is practical. Honestly, Scott didnt need an attorney.
Gentlemen they are not
I’m 24 years old and have been carrying every day since 21 and I have sadly already had to use my firearm in self defense that resulted in a death and thank god the police officers on scene were level headed and could see exactly why it happened the way it did and I was never charged but they did take my g26 for a couple months I just recently got it back and currently training with it again

Uber driver forgot to mention they were black.😅 situational awareness, buddy.😉
Lyft driver would have been dead if those idiots had guns. Nothing can protect anyone from a bad guy with a gun. Not even a good guy with a gun.
The secret to protection isn't having a gun it's getting the training.
Things may have been a little different hadthe driver's door been locked
Everyone’s opinion is correct, “yours are wrong because my opinion is mine and you don’t know what your talking about…!”
This is the true problem we face as (the 10%) free thinking individuals.
PUNKS that wear Hoods and Masks are a red flag for me, and their eyes and the Printing. However, I am glad for the survival.
So these gun giveaways and everything else “ends soon”. Makes you sound like a gimmick/used car salesman. Ya sound cheep.
I think the 3rd scenario is made up. It is an advertisement for the USCCA. If it was real, we would have heard from the actual victim and not an actor.
I feel like he had the right to shoot the the guy poking him if he had the gun in time!! 2 vs 1. I think he is justified????
Lol let me guess…. The usual suspects? 😂😂😂
At 9:30, ignorance of the law is no excuse, the DA would barbecue the self-defender for not knowing that detail.

I don’t doubt these real world stories but the way this video is produced honestly is just a distasteful sales pitch.
I use the word providence rather than luck. No way I should be alive.
@@ScrappyXFL Same here. But dumb luck it was. The smarter I learn to be the luckier I seem to get.
