Bless the JayLenoFly for single-handedly rescuing Craig's charm, talent, spontaneity, warmth, and wit for posterity and future generations. All talk show hosts have their abilities, but in comparison, Fallon looks phony and contrived, Kimmel like a vanilla bro who lacks the keen intellect and sophistication of someone like Craig, Colbert is a little smarmy and boring in comparison, etc. No one else will ever approach a talk show with his devil-may-care, fly by the seat of one's pants improvisation and unapologetic, brilliant silliness.
She's a great role model- calm, sensible, intelligent, with a dry sense of humour. She, Emma Thompson and Judi Dench are actors I'm happy to watch on chat shows.
It's great to see Julie Andrews actually have fun doing these interviews. She is quick-witted with a good sense of humor that she usually doesn't get to display. In most interviews she gets the same questions over and over and she just recites the same stories we've heard in every other appearance. Here she's really having fun.
I never cared for Craig when he was on TV. But now I see what I missed. This show was fucking awesome. Thanks a lot The Jayleno Fly for the uploads and all the work you do. Peace
Still my favorite late night talk show host. He knew how to get people started, and then get back out of the way and let his guests react, with an occasional nudge.
This compilation is wonderful on many levels. The birthday gift of adult-sized PJs showed that she thought of Craig warmly. She had much fun with him and he was charmed by her. It was a friendship that blossomed over the years. Same Julie Andrews is an international treasure among young & old.
I've been thanking Jayleno Fly in a lot of videos but I really can't emphasize enough how great this is - Craig's show ran during a time when the internet wasn't as prevalent as it is today, so with these videos, you've preserved the magic in these shows for everyone to see.
The very first movie I saw was Mary Poppins when I was five years old. Then I saw The Sound of Music and I fell completely in love with this incredibly warm, intelligent, talented woman.
I accidentally fell on the Jayleno Fly 5 days ago and have been binge watching it ever since, I just can’t seem to get enough of it.THANK YOU,THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
I love the first interview. Craig's interview format was really endearing. And as an audience, it's like eavesdropping at two people chatting at a café.
You really do a very good job of this JayLeno. The quality is as good as one can expect and what you click is what you get. A rarity of which I am sure you are well aware. Ms. Andrews is almost too lovely. Every time I hear her say "youth" I hear Something Good. " . . . somewhere in my youth or childhood, I must have done something good . . . "
Than you so very much! Glad you liked it:D Yeah, that quote stood out on me too when she said it actually. After making this compilation, I watched the sound of music for the first time and man, what a beautiful talent!
Where else in America could you see some good old-fashioned English Vaudeville Pantomime 🇬🇧except with Craig and Julie? Takes me back to the old English music hall (I've never been to an old English music hall!) So camp and authentic. Love them together. 🇬🇧
She is a true star. Today anyone who makes a movie that makes money is called a star but she is the real deal. Sadly she is part of a vanishing class act.
I believe ALLLL of them are, this old Ladies. And the compilations are very good. I watch them from time to time. Well, I watch these The Jay Leno Fly compilations daily (ahahah) but these, like Judi Dench, etc., from time to time. All this naughtiness amazes me! This «flirting»...
mguerra79 Julie is not old%! Not flirting but playful, endearing, she never misses a beat , & I love her sense of humor . Betty White is awesome too but Julie is tops, incomparable & perfect!
This is a real artist. She sells her work, not sob stories or how hard the journey was for her. She doesn't speak about her experience in a 'it was so hard for me bla bla bla hence you better support me by watching my movies and buy my books' way.
Next to the SOUND OF MUSIC my fav movie of Julie's & singing was VICTOR/VICTORIA!! The fact is Julie has always been classy but sensual sophisticated, had a crush on her in SoM and feel guilty now that she's a subtle naughty gramma! =D
And yet she comes across as a lot sexier and flirty in her conversation with Craig Ferguson. He really knew how to skirt the line in a way that made them blush but also feel comfortable and over the course of several episodes they almost always started flirting back with him.
Had similar thoughts but I think he’s trying to throw her off because she always seems so prim and proper. The few times I’ve seen Julie Andrews call someone an idiot and tell them to shut up. It was strangely refreshing!
My Godfrey, as a child, I demanded to see Mary Poppins three times to my Mum... she took any oportinuity to drop me off for a couple hours on three Sundays for the Matinee. She thanks you even after her life for saving her from my interesting pre-pubescence.
In the original version of Bedazzled(1967) Dudley Moore and Peter Cook made Julie Andrews name(and no, she wasn't in the film) a brilliant oft repeated punchline. If all you've seen was the (2000) remake with Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley, this one is way more trippy. And if you say: "Well, Liz Hurley as The Devil." I'd agreed. But then again we had Raquel Welch in her prime as Lust, so... yah, there is that. 😛
What is it with these giant ladies. they makes me feel all giddy. it's the same with Helen Mirren and Judy Dench. they are just not made like that anymore. :-))
Julie is practically perfect in every way😊
Your sentence is Practically Perfect

I am readong his books. Did not know he is an author
I love him.all messy
It's true. Nobody can match him.
She's a great role model- calm, sensible, intelligent, with a dry sense of humour. She, Emma Thompson and Judi Dench are actors I'm happy to watch on chat shows.
Yup. These fine ladies are what hollywood needs :) There are some fine american ladies as well but a bit rarer

Craig said Julie is like a mother to him but also a great friend he can joke rudely with

There's no brighter, more precious light than the Julie Andrews sparkle.
"Jools" is one of the world 's greatest entertainers!
Had the maddest crush on Julie Andrews as a small boy, both because of Mary Poppins and Sound of Music.
Find it hasn’t abated much.
Craig makes all his guests feel like they are the most treasured people in the world a gentleman and a hero
The very first movie I saw was Mary Poppins when I was five years old. Then I saw The Sound of Music and I fell completely in love with this incredibly warm, intelligent, talented woman.
myhrr3 Don’t forget beautiful. She is incredibly charming and her voice is like honey.

@@donnakerr4997 one of the best channels ever.

Even at her age, still a beautiful woman, such grace. So lovely!
The interaction between this two is just MARVELLOUS, I had so much fun watching.
Her smile is *magical* 😍
I love her so much it hurts...so many memories from childhood (and adulthood, to be honest) include her singing! xo
It's great to see him flirting with Julie and not just the young airheads he has on the show
Don't call people airheads it dehumanizes them.
@@drewpamon some need it

He also flirted with Betty White. Bless him.
29:03 she still does that!!! I'm crying! Lovely Julie 💗
ライ ahhhh she is just the best thank you for telling us I though I was the only one who noticed
Julie is really marvelous in every way
Practically perfect...
Craig has probably done the best interviews with Dame Julie, and you can see she is really enjoying them.
And Carrie Fisher!
Oh my god I never laughed so much, thank you for upload this. I love Julie Andrews so much it hurts. Xxx
A soothing voice and Craig to jump in between to crack some jokes, what's not to like?
Love these compilations keep them coming.
16:58 - "Who knows how oysters are made? It's the miracle of life!"
I was chewing on a Tums and almost spit it out of my nose. Damn Craig Ferguson!
Very late comment...such a wonderful icon...all time fave !!
Thank you for Julie Andrews💕
She is by far my favorite vocalist of all time.

Thank you Jayleno Fly for posting all these old Craig Ferguson clips! Brings back a lot of good memories!
Such genuine affection between these two. ❤ love them both so much. Gems.
You can tell how fond they are of each other and that's what makes these interviews even more delightful.
She’s one of the best guests of all, for my money!
Now, here in the days of double Jimmies... I sorely miss having Craig around.
Twin Jims and a disappointing James - tough times. Craig does a podcast if you didnt know - there if you get desperate.
TOTALLY!!! he is such a delight and treasure!!!
Amen.
I second that AMEN, Just Imagine!
@@phoenixrising7047 - All 3 are technically James. Seth's the odd one out.
She's so beautiful and smart.❤️❤️❤️ Thank you.
Love these compilations, still miss Craig. Thank you The JayLeno Fly
Sure thing! Enjoy:D
Julie Andrews is WONDERFUL
Such a lovely woman.
These are great compilations. Watched this and Robin Williams tonight. Very fun. Thank you

- Do you mind if I put them on over my...?
- No, I'd rather actually...
Lmao, she's got a great sense of humor :'D
I don't think she was being humorous at all in saying that but I agree, she does have a good sense of humor.
Bc Atypical Oh I thought she meant it like "I'd rather you didn't take your clothes off" ^^
She’s the Epitome of Class 💜💜💜
Julie is so unintentionally funny. And I love it😂
Thanks, this was amazing to watch. Great to see she has a warped and wicked sense of humour.
10:20 I don't think Craig realized her awesome joke! "Just thought I'd POPPIN." And again in 10:54 like c'mon people get it together.
린스키Linsky I don't think Julie did either
To pop in somewhere is a common British English expression...
beth12svist we are saying that it’s a pun as she played Mary POPPINS POPPIN get it
All I'm saying is it may not at all have been intended because it's a common expression.
beth12svist yeah I understand it is a common saying here in UK

30:09 Julie Andrews playing the harmonica

Julie's two memoirs are classics!
Bedazzled is one of my all time favorite movies....."Juuuuleeeee Annnndrewwwwsss!!!" Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. You cannot possibly go wrong. :]

Her second appearance is available in its entirety on Dailymotion.

There was a very good reason that no whistling backstage started, it was how the people raising and lowering the scenery were signaled.

I adore Julie Andrews.
i love Craig, and I have loved Julie for a hundred years... 'Victor Voctoria'

Julie Andrews. What a Grand Dame.

she is adorable!
Don't believe in class systems but she should be at the very top
god does he just have great chemistry w/everyone???
This is a masterclass in flirting! Craig's a God! She's a Goddess!
My single complaint is I wish Craig would have let Julie talk more instead of the constant interruptions. Otherwise, the magic words, "Julie Andrews!"
Had similar thoughts but I think he’s trying to throw her off because she always seems so prim and proper. The few times I’ve seen Julie Andrews call someone an idiot and tell them to shut up. It was strangely refreshing!
