Beautiful Bowl, I didn’t see what type of wood it was made from. I have turned a few acacia wood bowls. The wood looks similar. Either way it’s a beauty.

There are many videos on UA-cam about the shape of the knife and how to sharpen it. I haven't sharpened it that sharply, but I need to think about the angle at which the knife hits and the direction of the wood fibers.

これは、神社の木が倒れて管理者が製材した物ですが、使い道がないから貰ってくれないかと頂いた物です。
相当大きな木だったようで、頂いた材料はまだまだあります。
クスノキは、木工旋盤で削るにはあまり匂いがキツいため、頭痛がする人もいるようです。
僕は、狭い工房でやってますが平気でしたが、工房内の虫除け効果はかなり高そうです(笑

木工旋盤の道具は基本的にはアメリカAmazonで購入しています。

I think my knives aren't shaped right. They're alot more flat and open.
Also no matter how much I sharpen them, they tear the wood more than cut it![
