The versatility of the Yakta is incredible! I look forward to seeing those hit the market!
It was a surprise find at the Expo. IMO the market needs an alternative to the Ventrac at a lower price point.
Thanks for the support! Let us know what tools you'd want from your machine.
Thanks for stopping by the booth. Can’t wait for all the attachment suggestions!
We really like that interchangeable modular concept like the Stihl Kombi system. One powerhead and multiple attachment options! Saves money and space in the garage!
Flail mower attachment, power rake, dethatcher, powered grass catcher. Maybe a roto-tiller, doubt it would work well with the ztr design though, but maybe?
@@PineyGroveHomestead Exactly! It'll also save you time on maintenance for every different machine.
Love the concept. I’d love to try one out on my property. I have both finish mowing and some rough cut. Snow blowing could be useful too if Michigan has another real winter again soon.
good video but I am 56 and a diesel/gas guy until the day I die(hopefully at least 30 years from now). I love the black plume when I start my L2501 lol.
A lot of people feel the same way. It's interesting to watch this change over time!
Our all-mechanical, carbureted YXR 510 would be right up your alley!
@@yaktaoutdoor lol thanks I will check it out!
EGO....nope. boy, is that guy a salesman! Nope. Smile? Is that what an equipment purchase is about? Do I get dental whitening gel with my purchase? 😂😂😂😂
I'm with you, Brad...I will never be sold on electric. There's too many reasons to defend my position here, but I don't need to defend my stance. For others, go for it. Just don't force me and eliminate my choices.
As for Yakta, great concept. I like the idea of attachments to make use of one powerhead. I hope they can fit into an already super flooded ZTR market. But the Ventrak like versatility is attractive....except one thing: the proprietary nature of the attachments. Because Yakta and Ventrak are narrow niche markets, I dont see aftetmarket attachment builders being willing or able to bust through the legal and logistic hurdles to offer other attachment options. Time will tell! Thanks, Brad!
All great points! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks for telling us about your concern about the proprietary nature of the attachment system. Hopefully, we'll spark some much-needed motivation for the rest of the industry.
@@yaktaoutdoor a heated cab or just an enclosure with heated seat would be good.
How good is the traction performance in snow? Cause those things are heavy enough getting them stuck might not be fun. Chains, recovery points and a winch might be a good option just for peace of mind.
Have you considered a track mod?
I’d love to see Yakta have an option for single stick steering like Country Clipper.
Thanks for commenting. We're just getting used to the traditional controls after one season of owning a zero turn.
Great idea! Thanks for the suggestion.
I would be interested but they should add a cab attachment with cooling and heating
Thanks for watching and commenting.
I really like the versatility of the product. But I need to use it on slopes. So, if you had a model with four wheel steering and a steering wheel or joy stick instead of lap bars, I would buy it.
Thanks for watching.
The only bad thing about some of these electric mowers I'm just worried about getting parts there's a lot of different manufacturers who's going to work on it and getting parts is there something that an actual homeowner can do to himself instead of sending it to a shop? Great video great content!! I wish I could have made it to the show this year myself
Thanks for the comment. I interviewed an electric motor company in my first expo video: ua-cam.com/video/1zIfOPsqiD4/v-deo.html
I am really intrigued by the Yakta but dealerships are sparse so my concern is having to travel (where I live) to the nearest dealership for service which would be 80 miles away in my case. Unfortunately that is where I stop my serious interest in this mower…
This is the first year of the dealer network establishing. They are selling them as fast as they make them. We hope to have one soon.
If someone gave me a Toro, Scag, or eXmark, I'd sell it for a Bad Boy or something else that's innovative.
I'd like to try a Ferris/Stihl mower!
Toro guy must work for OPEC
I want 1 for my 10 square feet of lawn
Make mowing fun again!
where is the yakta made?
Canada. We have one now: ua-cam.com/video/O8d6Z7CXpBA/v-deo.html
I messaged on trying and doing films
What message?
Nope leave me with the gas Mowers if you start doing your research, you’ll find out that all these electric vehicles and equipment has to be charged from a charger what is run with fuel from a plant to get electricity so when everybody starts charging their equipment, the plant has work double the amount of work, The same as Rios having to fuel so they’re wasting the same amount of fuel. Everybody’s wasting now nope, no thanks I’ll stay with my gasoline equipment.
Electric is definitely shaking up the tractor and OPE industry. I never thought I'd use a battery powered leaf blower until I tried a Dewalt 20V one...now my Stihl gas one never gets used. Thanks for commenting.
👍🇺🇸
Your going to get a full day of mowing out of the commercial electric zero turns they are rated very conservatively, this is not the epa saying your vehicle can get 30mpg and you get 18 this is real world hard condition rating normal use will yield higher than advertised battery life.
Thanks for the comment and watching.
Looks like junk for the EGO
First
Thanks for watching.
40 k for an electric ztr mower is ridiculous! 🤦🏻♂️
Seriously not a serious option there is no money to be made at this price point for a lawn business. Can buy 4 gas mowers at that price and be way more productive and profitable
We have the Yakta on-site now: ua-cam.com/video/O8d6Z7CXpBA/v-deo.html
Government mandates electric everything...
Watch electric mowers go up in price even more than their already inflated prices.
I won't buy an electric zero-turn until solid state batteries, or any other "doubling" of the current capacity.
