Honestly, this reminds me of Armored Core 1 in a good way. I don't really like how hard the recent entries in the series have moved to twitch reflect gameplay compared to the relatively slower pace of the older entries. That and the first boss design in AC6 is straight up garbage - flying boss that you have to melee that can fly out of bounds, especially with boundaries you can't see until you physically hit them? Such bullshit. Killed it first try without any issue, then went to kill it a few times after hearing all the complaints to see what the fuss was about and holy hell were the complaints justified. When the boss actually sticks inside bounds it's pretty easy, but it's pretty fucking rage-inducing to die because you slam into invisible boundary wall when boosting towards the boss, come to a full stop and then get blown up on your way down.
@@JushakFby older entries I assume you mean those for the ps1 and ps2? I played ac 6 first and I quite liked it, i played ac 4 after and I really hated the controls. Wasn't there actually a pacific rim game that was made as an advertising scheme for one of the movies? It was nothing like this, but I remember hearing something about it
No, Pacific Rim mecha are more of the Super Robot sub-genre where the giant robots use special moves and martial arts and the power of love and stuff. Armored Core is "Real Robot" sub-genre where the giant robots are military vehicles that use conventional weaponry to fight.
So basically the game is like the Muv-love universe but without all the drama and emotional toll, oh and you're being sent in alone rather than as a team, sounds solid.

Definitely one of those passion projects following the rule of cool! Sure there's a bunch of explosive options but you don't have to worry about collateral damage, if you got a decent pc you'll be facing hundreds of these things simultaneously, the voice acting & writing are exaggerated but down to earth, every mission introduces a new monster for you to deal with, if you want to farm for max money the game won't stop you from getting overpowered, even if you die in a mission you only loose the loot you picked up during it so you can always freely try any parts you have, and if you overkill any enemy they turn to giblets instead of just falling over. Certainly a recommendation for any mech fan!

It's Armored Core, Earth Defense Force and Resident Evil having a baby. I got the DLC, definitely supporting this dev, haven't checked it out yet but I'd say the weak points about the game (besides the voices), is that weapons are kinda unbalanced imho. been playing this game since it came out, and it is so worth the spot here!
This really kind of reminds me of Muv Luv.
While I don't really feel much love for the series for its acting, for the kind of combat it depicts, this definitely reminds me of the battles.
Needless to say I will be grabbing it.
fahad will have a bottle of Timbiqui Dark ready when you get back
still better voice acting then infinity outpost, change my mind.
Two games back to back that are this good! Man keep it coming! Gotta play first dwarf tonight and now I have to go get this one lol 🎉
Baught it. Love it. First 2 hours are great, raid mode is what I was looking for. Love it all
Oh I remember this! Played it a few years ago when you first reviewed it. Looks like it’s time to redownload it
It's Armored Core, Earth Defense Force and Resident Evil having a baby. I got the DLC, definitely supporting this dev, haven't checked it out yet but I'd say the weak points about the game (besides the voices), is that weapons are kinda unbalanced imho. There are a lot of weapons but very few are actually worth using. As soon as I got 2 Gattings I didn't find any reason to use other arm weapons.
I love this game! You made me check it out again and they've release a DLC! Yey!
this reminds me of this one game from the 2000s... where you drove an upgradable tank and fought aliens
Not even 7 minutes in the vid, I'm already checking out whether my old rig can handle the minimum specs. This looks awesome! Thanks dudemanbro!
EDIT: Awwww goddamnit, not even close. The requirements are very 2021. Le panda is sad now.
It's absolutely bonkers how much there is and how good it is for a budget that's essentially nothing.
This is a hell of a game so far. Btw..., nice gun. 👍🏼😀
That voice you did at 0:30 cracked me up, made me bust out laughing. 😆🤣
Wait a minute it remedies me to that anime i watch years ago what was it a yes Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse finale we have game like this 👍👍👍
OMG, almost forgot this gem, gotta play it again!
and it would be cool, to see more from it :D
This game definitely feels like it had some Muv-Luv inspiration.
I watched your first video on this a year or so ago and played this game, and really liked it, then The dlc made this game so much more fun ngl, I love this game more now
Oh snap, there was an update? Sweet. I'll boot it up tonight. Need a little break from genociding drakes and griffins in DD2.
Another tip, if you have the hardware, you can go into the options in the main menu to increase the max number of Reds the game can spawn. Wanna real taste of the apocalypse? If your rig can handle it, you can!
Reminds me of a mix of Armored Core and EDF. Looks like fun.
The Mission game play, remind me of the first “Earth Defense Force,” game in all the best way.
What if... a mech with a energy shield? That'd be cool
