    *Cheap Early Retirement In La Paz Bolivia is very possible!* There is such a mix of neighborhoods in this city. From Colonial, to business to hip, this city has it all! There are a wide variety of restaurants throughout the city but especially in San Miguel which was my very favorite neighborhood in the entire city! It was also quite fun an also interesting to visit the colonial part of the city shopping and enjoying all the Andean people I met there. What a beautiful and interesting city La Paz is. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely go! I very much felt as if I was in a foreign land when I was there! You will love it!

      I moved to El Alto, very close to a cable car station, so I travel by "teleferico" most of the time and it is cheaper here and more authentic, I mean it is more real bolivian.

    I don't know if you've had the opportunity to go to Copacabana (Titikaka Lake) in my opinion one of the most magical and beautiful places of Bolivia. In Copacabana, I found this community of French expats and French owned vacation properties, amazing place by the water. Bolivia is the hidden gem of South America. Also known as the Tibet of Latin America

      Yes I actually visited Lake Titicaca! And I loved it there! Amazing to me how the indigenous people that live on the islands on the lake have preserved their culture! Simply Amazing!

      Copacabana is magical because of the garbage dump along the beachside? Yes, there are nice hotels and food.

    So well done. A nice humble, curious video. A contrast to many other vloggers.

      I agree. Too many vloggers seem to think they are making their acting debut. We are interested in the location, not their antics.

    I absolutely loved your footage of La Paz. Thank you for sharing.
    Question for you, how did you go about finding a place to live while there? Is there an agency you used or did the US Embassy provide assistance?? I'm a US citizen & curious how to get a place to rent through a reliable source.
    Thanks for your time, insight & guidance.

      I got an discounted hotel in San Miguel for 5 nights (I have wholesale hotel connections), and then began asking locals if they knew of any monthly rentals or of anyone wanting to rent an apartment or condo by the month. I found one which I really loved and came to an agreement with the owner. Good luck!

      I have not applied for residency in Bolivia but visit occasionally for a month or two at a time. I have applied for residency in Lima Peru, as I have a very close friend there for the past 25 years.

    Hi ... how much time take you to acustom to the altitude of la paz?

    • @TheTravelInsider
      @TheTravelInsider  11 місяців тому

      You know, honestly, that’s a very good question. I noticed when I first got there if I was in the part of town with a lot of hills I definitely had to stop to get my breath several times. But eventually I moved down to a place called San Miguel and it wasn’t quite as hilly, so I had a much easier time once I moved there 😂
