The Twilight Zone is 1 of a handful of shows I refer to as "multi-generational" in that a generation who grew up with 1 version of the show would later make a new version of the show, & there have been 4 versions of it; the 1960s, the 1980s, the early 2000s, & the 2020s.

When did twilight zone transform from weird tales that don't automatically come with a happy ending to a series that displays blatant political messages...?? The one story I had a easy complaint about was the men have rage episode. Like I haven't witnessed several women being crazy, violent, or just angry....but yep its only the men who have an inherent rage that we can't control

Other shows that were inspired by the Twilight Zone and / or consider themselves a spiritual successor to the show. Did a much better job than this one.
Not hard to see why this iteration of the series didn't last long. Nearly every episode is overtly political. People want an escape from that.
The original series was overtly political. Rod Serling was a socialist who included his socialist and civil rights standpoints in every episode. And sponsors hated it! Pure ignorance to pretend that politics in Twilight Zone is some new fangled idea.
Everything does to some extent if you cut all politics from media you would loose a ton of media people love.

It's so funny how nostalgia and zeitgeist affect our memories of old shows. The old shows were political as well, but at the time, the politics were different.
People who complain about modern sci-fi being overly political are usually a) not smart enough to recognize the political messaging in classic sci-fi or b) people who don’t regularly watch sci-fi

I noticed in the early 2000s when Forrest Whitaker won his Oscar they let him be the host of the Twilight zone which ran for 1 season. Skip ahead, Jordan Peele wins awards for his films and he gets to get host of the Twilight zone

Of course every episode is political. The original Twilight Zone was extremely political. Rod Serling was constantly being told to make the show less political or sponsors would pull out! Rod Serling was an out and proud socialist not some pansy liberal too. If you liked his messages but not the new stuff, you need to look at yourself in the mirror and question if you're actually a socialist too. Maybe the issue is that these messages aren't far enough left leaning for you like the old stuff.
Politics in media has been a constant since humanity developed both.

Sure but anyways here's a great Eskimo Pie recipe
1 stick butter
15 oz. pkg. Oreos, crushed
1/2 gallon of any ice cream
9 oz. carton Cool Whip
Melt butter. Mix with crushed Oreos. First place 1/2 of the Oreos in the bottom of a pan. Mix ice cream with Cool Whip and put on top of the Oreos in pan. Top with remaining Oreos. Freezes well. Serves 12-15.

2 lbs red potatoes, scrubbed
6 eggs, boiled & chopped
1 lb bacon, fried & crumbled
1 onion, chopped (or use green onions)
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 1⁄2 cups mayonnaise (not miracle whip)
1⁄2 cup sour cream
salt & pepper
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add potatoes & cook about 15 minutes until tender, but firm. Drain & set in fridge to cool. Once cool, chop with the skin on. Combine potatoes, eggs, bacon, onion & celery.
Mix together mayo, sour cream and salt & pepper. Add to other combined ingredients.
Chill 1 hour before serving.

Twilight Zone was always woke. Rod Serling was a humanitarian socialist and very open about it in the messages the series conveyed - he'd be considered an SJW by today's standards he was so woke. Despite hiding his message in science fiction, sponsors constantly demanded the show be made less political or they'd pull out.
If you hate Twilight Zone now, you should hate what it used to be because it carried the exact same messages. So now you need to question yourself. Why do you think the modern stuff is woke but not the old which was undeniably more hardline socialist than anything written today? Were you just too ignorant to figure out the messages Serling had or had no one told you the original Twilight Zone was woke so you didn't question it?

He was a socialist pushing his literal socialist agenda. You both not only lack media comprehension but reading comprehension. When I put 'hiding' in quotes, it's because it wasn't hiding it. It was in your face but had a veneer of scifi over it to make it more palatable to the sponsors. And despite that he was still so in your face about his very woke socialist messages that sponsors still threatened him all the time.
It was never subtle. The topics of discussion were just different in his time than they are now.
