For those calling him inexperienced, take two minutes to have a look at his previous roles and a few minutes extra to check out where his clubs finished. (including u18/19s) He's currently at Munich coaching their youth and while people might think thats a far cry from what we need, it's really not. We need somebody on the players level but also with experience of coaching young players. And this guy has that in abundance. I'm not blowing his trumpet here, he might not work. But it's worth a shot. He could be sensational at our club at present. I'd much rather him than some of the other names flouted about. If it is him then I'll be looking forward to our season HWTL

Will still is the choice for me and as hes now walked away from reims with immediate effect, it opens tge door for him to come with no compensation package so that money can be re invested in the team . The young type of coaches we're looking at need a Speakman type to help fond players. Speakman failed to get a good balance the last 3 transfers I'm not sad to see him go but it depends who or how we replace him. I've got a picture of you with my nephew and you're a lot bigger in real life
I heard Jermaine Defoe was interested but wants to bring his own staff with him, but I cannot see Speakman allowing that to happen, no Manager with any pride is going to let this guy tell them who they can and cannot work with. I too am pig sick of this model talk, for the club to prosper we need to drop that experiment and drop Speakman.

I get we’ve come a long way from when in league one but I think he’s been lucky with a few players he’s brought in but majority of the kids wouldn’t get a game at Sunday league level. Speakman recommended the purchase of Simms and Broadhead - two of the top strikers in the league this season He is working miracles with the budget he has been given. I'm hoping these rumours are true. But like everything that comes out of sunderland recently i suspect there will be a kick in the balls somewhere along the line. If we get rid of our best players for money we will struggle again next season. We can buy whoever you like but the possibility of the new players gelling straight away is very unlikely. They destroyed what we did last season, other clubs signed the players we should have brought in, Simms, broadhead being 2 that stand out, forced out experience as they hate older players and want a tiny wage bill, and signed a load of unproven shite no one else was in for, aswel as embarrassingly not signing a goalscorer 💩💩 sold us down the river to out own rivals, it's been a circus and embarrassing. I wouldnt say hip hip hooray cos Speakman may go- He's tried to bring in a very young squad and at times we were fantastic- wever had a great 3 years under Speakman. And u cant make omlettes without cracking some eggs- the only thing we need to do was get a striker- and we didnt.........but the future is bright. But appoint a manager NOW - dont wait- nothing to wait for ! score prediction 2-2 !
The model works but it requires patience and sometimes that's lacking in football. But it hasn't been helped by bad managerial choices and a lack of direction from the board. Hopefully they have seen the light and will invest properly in the squad for next season.
