Hey Joe just watched the 22 shot out with the jarhead and you used a Weatherby semi automatic 22 as far as I’m concerned with semi and your group sizes, you spanked the crap out of them.
You guys are lucky. Here in Europe the Vortex 3-5x15 costs €535 which translates to around $580. Overhere the Arken SH4 costs €545, which is $590. I'm still in doubt which of these two to buy.
Thank you for the vid! Trying to make a hunting rifle build, and you are out here saving money for this vortex guy. Still not sure which scope ill get, but you are honest, and it’s appreciated!
I’m still searching for that budget blockbuster and the reviews of the Fujinon Accurion are freaking stellar for the price and made in the wonderful Philippines lol. Great review Mr. Rhea..
Just picked up my second Arken today. SH 4j for my 6mm arc build. Got the ep5 on my cva bolt action 223 and so far im liking Arken alot for the price. By the way thanks for the discount code! Saved this old man so money for the 2nd😂
Arken wins when you factor in price. Vortex doesn't have anything over the Arken worth the price difference in my opinion. Thanks for the great review.
I really want to get a Vortex lower end Optic but I would rather have the Diamondback line over the Copperhead, I prefer Philippine Hookers over Chinese… The Diamondback 3.5-10 would be a perfect range for hunting here in Virginia. Great video Mr. Rhea…
@@CyclopsJoeVideos I read where the Diamondbacks like some of the Burris are made in the Philippines and top quality. I’m still looking at the Sightron and actually Fujinon/Fujifilm Scopes.
@@CyclopsJoeVideos I see it now. I had the exact opposite opinion with the two units I have. But I agree. Regardless if the make we shouldn't have to send them back over and over to get a good one. Funny cuz everyone else's Arken doesn't look like 💩
Appreciate the honest reviews! most of all I enjoy your humor and the fluidity of your videos! It's not easy to talk to a camera with that much confidence! cheers!
Didn't focus? Man... not the quality I expect...lol. No it happens brother... always appreciate the honesty even when it's a mess up. Both these scopes look pretty dang good. Appreciate the comparison!
Purchasing three scopes from Arken. Appreciate the code! Hope I win one of your giveaways one day. Appreciate all the reviews had to resubscribe. Somehow was inscribed.
Love your quick, no bullshit reviews and sense of humor. If you get time, I’d love a review or comparison of the best 1 inch scopes still available. Seems like they’re getting hard to find.
I have two Arkens. No complaints, they're solid AF. But, I finally broke down and bought a Vortex 😢... the 1-6 Venom. I must say, this thing has a Trump HYOOOUUUGE field of view. And I really like the reticle. It doesn't have the nice clicky turrets like the Arkens, but in my experience the Vortex turrets are repeatable and reliable. I even gave up one of my Swampfox Arrowheads because I like the Venom that much better.
As a long time Vortex "guy", I have always found, for the money, Vortex optics are hard to beat. I have about 15 different Vortex optics from some Razor HD LHT's, to as cheap as the Crossfire II. All have been fantastic, the warranty is legit, the people at Vortex are awesome to work with, and I highly recommend to everyone. That being said, what you get for the money with the Arken's, is ridiculous. I bought an EPL-4 for a Ruger American 6.5 CR, for under 800.00 for the entire package...hard to beat.
Dude, loving your channel!! This ole girl is new to shooting a rifle. About to be 60 :) Have lots of questions, but I will start low and go slow - read where I should buy a really nice scope for my 22 because I will probably be using it more for practice. In doing so, what would you recommend? I have watched your video on intro to scopes, but I have no idea what I should get for heavy practice. Would love your feedback. Thanks and again, enjoy your videos!!
I’ve looked through Arkens at least twice to three times they always look darker and slightly whiteish than all of my Vortex scopes…. copperhead, tactical and viper all seem brighter than Arkens that I’ve looked through. I don’t think I would ever purchase one. I would probably purchase a
I'm getting ready to buy 4 scopes I've gotten to far ahead with rifles without scopes and most of mine are leupold or zeiss but I'm retired now and don't have the budget i use to and have been doing a lot of research and i think i'm going to buy Arkin i can scope all 4 at once and not o e a year it only makes sense to me i don't like swapping scopes around.
Good day Cyclops. I trust you are well. I love the content you make. It helps everyone so much! I need some advice. You mentioned that the vortex venom 3-14x44 is better than the 5-25x56. What is the case with the diamondback? Have you compared the two different diamondbacks against each other? I think in your video you used the 6-25x50 on your .22 How would it compare to the 4-16x44? I am looking for a scope for my .303 purely for hunting. I need something with a good waranty, wont break the bank, nice glass you would approve, FFP, and able to withstand your nippletwister torture. Mrad and illuminated would be nice.
I'm a Vortex guy and have been for a long time. Even with the lifetime warranty I've never had to use it. If i ever do buy another high powered scope, I may have to try an Arken.
Were these on the same magnification settings? The Arken looks more zoomed in. If they were close, the Vortex clearly has a much wider field of view. The vortex image was also much more clear. Blurring/dinging was only happening on the very edges of the image while pretty much everything outside of about 15 MOA on the reticle for the Arken was rather blurry. If these observations match yours, let us know. I’d say that your reviews are typically too short. More detailed observations would be valuable since the camera can lie. I’m usually one to recommend Arken, but there seems to be a pretty stark difference in image between these two.
I went down the rabbit hole of comparing field of view with several different scopes around the 3-15 or 4-16 range. The venom’s only weak spot for the price is it’s weight.
Thanks for clarifying. I don’t want to see the 30+ minute tibersaurous reviews Joe, but some deeper dives at longer ranges in different lighting would be nice every now and again. Something in the 10-15 minute range would be nice.
Has anyone had to send an Arken back for warranty repair? Vortex is pretty quick and painless from my experience. Unsure about Arken service department
I’ve been a Vortex fan for years partially due to the daylight bright illumination on both my Viper scopes. I just got an Arken EPL-4 in today. I love the scope except I can’t see the illumination outside. Granted for a third of the price of the Viper, it’s a helluva scope. Due to old age, I really need the Illumination to use like a red dot on moving animals. I saw your videos on the Sig Sauer Whiskey 4 scopes. Did you get the illuminated version? If so, is the illumination any brighter than the Arken?
