If you take clockwise the the direction vector n would point inwards with a negative sign. The circulation of the vector when goes anticlockwise the flux would come outwards. It is just a preference for a positive answer.
Minute-12:00:- By convention work done is positive if it is done BY a system and negative if done ON the system. In Electricity and Magnetism, the relation between the three parameters: 1) Direction of motion 2) Direction of resultant force and 3) The direction of electro-magnetic lines (vector space functions) are in such a way that if one moves in anti-clock wise direction, the force is towards you and otherwise away from you. A motor consumes power (-ve) while a generator generates (+ve) power. According to the Fleming's right hand rule, the thumb, fore finger and middle finger of the right hand are stretched to be perpendicular to each other and if the thumb represents the direction of the movement of conductor, fore-finger represents direction of the magnetic field (Vector field) , then the middle finger represents direction of the induced current.
If you take clockwise then the direction vector n would point inwards with a negative sign. The circulation of the vector when goes in anticlockwise manner, then the flux would come outwards. It is just a preference for a positive answer. That's why it's a convention that Europeans decided to have it this way.

Wonderful job Bhagwan, the reason why the circulation has to be taken anticlockwise is because x cross y will be pointing in the z direction in the right handed system ( which we have chosen), and the z direction is out of the plane of the board here this gives the direction of the curl.

sir direction of curve is normally taken anti clockwise due to a simple reason-to be in consonance with right handed coordinate system i.e X axis out of page,y axis to right Z axis up or any rotated version thereof. but if u follow left handed system i.e z axis down then u may take directtion of curve clockwise......
THANKS A LOT LOT LOT SIR.... i searched the whole youtube but couldn't find any lectures that was so helpful... this videos will surely help me to gain marks... i will share ur channel to my friends too... :)
Sense of the curves are taken anticlockwise because work done by a cycle in PV diagram in thermodynamics is positive for anticlockwise direction and negative for clockwise direction. Hence, that convention is followed.

Sir the script we follow either Roman... Devnagari... Except arabi... All are written from Left to right and which is anticlockwise hence we follow this convention...
Thank you sir.....it made my vector calculus easier than what I thought...... Thank you and please do make videos ..... You are helping many students with it..... Thank you on behalf of everyone
We take direction anticlockwise because n is area vector and direction of area vector is always perpendicular to the plane and pointing outward . So if we take direction anticlockwise then only n will point outward .
Sir direction anticlockwise leneka reason: xy plane me hamara surface he. Isi liye agar right handed coordinate system ki baat kare to apna n cap z axis pr ayega . Is liye c ka direction anticlockwise liya he.
Sir ise anticlockwise lene ka reason ye bhi ho skta hai ki jo perpendicular vector n^ ya aur koi hai toh uski value negative mein na aaye shayd kyunki agr aap clockwise rotate kro toh wo inside jayega aur negative mein aaye ye reason ho skta hai.
sir...ur so helpful and a big thank you...sir may god bless u for all the work u do...but sir 1 dout....rectangle has two surfaces, one facing us and the 2nd at its back....but we found the one facing us then what about the hidden backward surface???

Direction of curve.:- Normally we take the positive X axis as reference. When moving UP (positive) the movement is in the anticlockwise direction. This is the logic behind taking anticlockwise as positive and clockwise as negative.

Anticlockwise positive hota hai sir aur anticlockwise lene pe kisi closed surface jaise ki sphere pe normal vector outwards aata hai aur anticlockwise lene pe inwards toh normal vector hamesha outwards rehta h isliye anticlockwise lete h.
Because on taking anti clockwise direction, the direction of area vector (da) becomes positive +Z direction and then the surface integral become easy to calculate.
Sir when we don't use a parametric equation in the 2nd question and solve it by substituting y by x then in the sphere eqn we take z=0?? So y=√1-x^2 ???? But the answer is coming different Plss explain sir And thankyou for the outstanding teaching!!

If area is inside the curve then Direction is taken anticlockwise and if area is out side the curve then Direction is taken clockwise. Because while moving on a curve we consider the area which is falling in left of the Direction of motion... That's why in annular areas the inner curve is taken clockwise and outer curve is taken anticlockwise.

Really, ur lecture helps me a lot to understand the hard topics . Thankyouuuu sir
sir direction of curve is normally taken anti clockwise due to a simple reason-to be in consonance with right handed coordinate system i.e X axis out of page,y axis to right Z axis up or any rotated version thereof. but if u follow left handed system i.e z axis down then u may take directtion of curve clockwise......
THANKS A LOT LOT LOT SIR.... i searched the whole youtube but couldn't find any lectures that was so helpful... this videos will surely help me to gain marks... i will share ur channel to my friends too... :)
Thanks.. Praveen. :)
Sir really you are great because you have a manner to understand the boys problem
Sense of the curves are taken anticlockwise because work done by a cycle in PV diagram in thermodynamics is positive for anticlockwise direction and negative for clockwise direction. Hence, that convention is followed.
I repair my hole math syllabus by your lecture you are unique sir keep up this sir

curl f is a cross product and whose resultant vector is given by the anticlockwise rule or the right hand thumb rule...
(property of cross product)
Bro wo cycle ke according hota he yahan unit normal ke according i. j k ko choose kiya jata he
Sir the script we follow either Roman...
Thankyou, all students plz get it.
The vexplanation was very very clear.
Awesome.... Doubts Cleared...
style of teaching is superb...
Sir direction anticlockwise leneka reason: xy plane me hamara surface he. Isi liye agar right handed coordinate system ki baat kare to apna n cap z axis pr ayega . Is liye c ka direction anticlockwise liya he.
Sir ise anticlockwise lene ka reason ye bhi ho skta hai ki jo perpendicular vector n^ ya aur koi hai toh uski value negative mein na aaye shayd kyunki agr aap clockwise rotate kro toh wo inside jayega aur negative mein aaye ye reason ho skta hai.
apki wjha se mera m3 clear ho gya sir

Sir. You are great and you are a best teacher for students.
sir...ur so helpful and a big thank you...sir may god bless u for all the work u do...but sir 1 dout....rectangle has two surfaces, one facing us and the 2nd at its back....but we found the one facing us then what about the hidden backward surface???
sir thank you so much .It has been very useful to me.

dhanyavaad sir ap ko apne muje gannit se chinta mukt karva diya !
Direction of curve.:-
Normally we take the positive X axis as reference. When moving UP (positive) the movement is in the anticlockwise direction. This is the logic behind taking anticlockwise as positive and clockwise as negative.
sir will u please make me understand how did you get the value of ds=dxdy/|n.k| in the mentioned question
Way of teaching is great. Very helpful video. thank you so much sir

@@BhagwanSinghVishwakarma Ofcourse sir . Thankyou🙏
Anticlockwise positive hota hai sir aur anticlockwise lene pe kisi closed surface jaise ki sphere pe normal vector outwards aata hai aur anticlockwise lene pe inwards toh normal vector hamesha outwards rehta h isliye anticlockwise lete h.
Thank you very much sir
For teaching us
U r doing a great job
respected sir,
29:45 (time of the video )-when taking the y limits , should we not take y in terms of x.
Thank You
y is independent of x on the rectangular curve that's why.
Because on taking anti clockwise direction, the direction of area vector (da) becomes positive +Z direction and then the surface integral become easy to calculate.
woww I completely understand it..but sir apne n cap or ds kese. nikala thoda samjh ni Ayaa
sir I am sujain study in first year and your videos very help full form me so thanks a lot and your explanation is very clear and easy
Sir when we don't use a parametric equation in the 2nd question and solve it by substituting y by x then in the sphere eqn we take z=0?? So y=√1-x^2 ???? But the answer is coming different
Plss explain sir
And thankyou for the outstanding teaching!!

If area is inside the curve then Direction is taken anticlockwise and if area is out side the curve then Direction is taken clockwise. Because while moving on a curve we consider the area which is falling in left of the Direction of motion... That's why in annular areas the inner curve is taken clockwise and outer curve is taken anticlockwise.
thanku sir finally i found best videos to understand maths more easily :)))))
aap right or students bahot bolte hain
thank u sir . plzzz make more videos on M2 and M1
bcoz we measure angles in anticlockwise direction, angle measured in clockwise direction is negative
Osm explanation sir......plz upload proof of stokes theorem......
Sir
To get the normal vector outside (i.e. +ve z axis),we have to take the curve anti clock wise according to right hand screw rule....

method of understanding is incredible....please explore your mastering with us....HEADS OF SIR
outstanding .....
sir explain any question of stoke's theorems
The video is blurred but the teacher is best
i think we take anti clock direction because unit vector of surface will be outside and result will be positive unit vector,
Its the convention to take anticlockwise.
Therefore clockwise would be negative of it.
very nice lecture sir.very easy explanation
Great explanation ..sir the entire series of yours is well executed
