@@mattr1100 Yeah, even as a Kings fan, I kinda gotta love it. Those guys know each other well, so a little friendly gamesmanship is not a bad thing. Laf has 97 games played and QB has 9. Give it a couple of years and they can really start having fun with it. Kings/Rangers is a longstanding rivalry that's good for the game.
Quick is so gd good, just so impressive all around, nice job by the boys to get it done against him. I look at it this way - the game has to end at some point. You can add 5 more minutes of 3 on 3, but guess what? Coaches like TMac (who claims to hate the shootout) have already started using stay at home defensemen in overtime, they'll just do it more. That's, to me, much more terrible than having a shootout. Wasting what used to be the glory of 3 on 3 with constant resets to the neutral zone, and saddling 2 good skaters with a boat anchor, just in case there's a breakaway.
How about penalty shots? Or breakaways? Should those be eliminated as well? Maybe they should take a vote at the end of the game? Or maybe the team with the most pronouns? Or maybe they should both get the win? Tell me you’re a millennial without telling me you’re a millennial.
