It has a retro look--like a bike from the 80s or 90s. It's amazing how much tank shrouds define the look of a bike.

modern 450s have so little plastic. I guess it's related to numbers not being very important for scoring as well as the frame ergos/intake. anywho...I think the worst offender is the Beta 450. oye. I prefer a nice clean, shroud. hehe

Honda should bring the 2 strokes back! A modern cr250r or cr500 would be amazing with fuel injection and direct injection like a snowmobile 2 stroke similar to arctic cats Ctec-2 The thing would be a game changer! It would make people realize that 4 strokes are not king. Innovation completely changed the modern 4 stroke if they didnt just stick with their same old formula and actually evolved 2 strokes like they have with the snowmobile market motocross as we know it would be a sea of 2 and 4 strokes not just 450 fart machines...

    • @seashackf1
      @seashackf1 4 місяці тому +2

Unfortunately it will never happen. Honda as a company hates 2-strokes, always have. They will never make them again. Only started to make them in the 70’s to compete in Motocross. They were also the main ones pushing for their ban in both motocross and MotoGP in the 00’s.
Soichiro Honda always hated them. Thinks they are dirty engines. As a company they oppose the technology, then and now. Only built them because they had to in order to compete in racing.

just got back into moto last year after ~20 years. first thing i noticed was how irrelevant the side panels were with regard to numbers. I have a '22 and a '23 and have never thought I needed it. I have a YZ450 too and although I do mess with the app, it's not needed.
if the stock ECU has fueling issues, you can't fix it with these cheesy little apps. they're not real EFI tuning tools in the way you might think. Sure, you can mellow out the power a bit, but you aren't going to do much more than that with them.
They aren't full on gimmicks, but they aren't that useful either.
what would truly be awesome is these shitty fucking corpos would just give us open source software (or just offer the unlocked software themselves) for the ECU's so we could do what the hell we want to with these things we paid for.
I don't need Honda or Yamaha to keep me from myself. I'm a big fuckin boy here...and it's 2024....people know how to use computers. I should be able to completely remap the stock ECU any way I see fit. if I fuck my bike up..that's on me... I'm sick of this gatekept tech. It's my god damn "right to repair".

    TC is a super dude
but the manufacturers need to get it right every year they have had 24 years to develop the four strokes there is no excuse the bikes should be totally dialed in with works parts no excuses
for how much a new CRF costs the bikes should be perfect this issue of suspension issues and whatever
if you cant put good forks or shock then change brand show kyb ohlins
these [eople talk of too stiff frame your kidding-the frame should be stiff and the forks/shock should comply
and while im at it I probably never will buy a honda again they use to be industry leader now they get 5th in the 450 shootout
like i said for the price the bikes should bee WORKS i dont want to buy a 2025 model and find out it gets headshake or has a poor airbox design or element the CRs have been a race bike since the 70s it should be perfect or near perfect no excuse
triumph just in 1 year have a good model i notice the crf cylinder is like the triumph or vice versa but come on folks $11 grand for a dirt bike is ROBBERY
so for all the test riders year after year working with the teams and design engineers and they design frames that give headshake over rough track hey something does not jive with me on all this development stuff is it just me or do i smell fish oil in the forks

Where’s the side number plate? Jesus Christ that thing is hideous. The CRF logo looks like a child designed it. Bikes might be good but they don’t look good.
The best looking motocross bike stylishly still remains the outdated and not upgraded Suzuki RMZ.

I think every ginger owes it too themselves to hop on a dirt bike and see if they have what it takes. Idk I'm starting to see a trend here, you never know...

I’m sooo happy I don’t have to listen to Canard’s preachy little podium speeches any more. Kinda funny how all that prayer to his imaginary man in the sky couldn’t keep him from having a career consisting of a series of terrible wrecks.
