I disagree with Momin, Parizaad was not a Netflix thriller, it was based on a common man's journey and it ended very well. You have to be a lover of poetry to understand and feel the dialogues and chemistry between Parizaad and Annie. Their love was poetic and unconditional it had to end on a calm and soothing note. One of the best shows on Hum.

Parizaad was a masterpiece of its own art … only intellectuals would understand the poetic chemistry between both … the ending was marvelous … you need to understand what they said between the lines to each other … it has nothing to do with urdu or being friend … it was her confidence that if only Ainy would be able to break the ice of heartbroken Parizaad … don’t agree with Momin …

Momin the last scene of parizad is not like annie and parizad live like a friend zone.annie want to remove the insecurities of Parizaad regarding love that's why she said to become a friend and start new beginning and the last line of poetry "humesha dair ki mainy" clearly show parizad is happy Annie's decision..... And this ending is very good. But yes it can be more romantic but the chemistry between yumna and Ahmed don't need any physical contact.❤
Yes he didn't understand. Uss ne shayad poora nhi dekha iss liyay ussko samjh nhi aye. And last episode wasn't flat. It was beautiful. Momin couldn't understand the chemistry between them. Amma hopefully will see the chemistry. It was unmatchable

@@147kausar agreed. The chemistry was beautiful and it didn't need any physical contact. Without physical contact also they made the scenes BEAUTIFUL. I literally cried for 5 minutes because it felt as if I lived with Parizaad. He finally got what he wanted. And romance and shadi isn't everything Momin himself says and now 😓.
You saved me from writing all this. My same thoughts. Momin you were not able to understand. The ending was pure and Beautiful. Annie will gradually remove his insecurities and it was happily lived ever after situation Otherwise there was no purpose of annie looking for parizad and than deciding to stay there for urdu language and opening a FM station there.
I mentioned this before that we keep forgetting Holy Prophet (saw) married Hazrat Khadijah when he was 25 years old & she was 40. She was twice widowed and it was his first marriage
People mix up culture with religion and that's why people have difficulties accepting what is allowed in islam. On the contrary, People normalize and accept things which aren't allowed in Islam. Our religion is close to human nature. It's the people who have made our religion difficult
Agreed with Amma.. Very bad stance to show the last episode of Parizaad in cinema. For collecting revenue, a large bulk of viewers has been conveniently neglected and disappointed.

#feedbackCorner The problem with Dobara is that Mehru was shown to be stuck in an unhappy marriage and felt prisoner with her husband. When he died she felt free and wanted to do everything that she was stopped from doing at a young age. Now was her chance to live the life on her own terms without any restrictions. At this stage it seems illogical for Mehru to get into another marriage. Why would she choose to marry just 6 months after an unhappy toxic marriage? She was shown to be finally enjoying freedom. There was no need at all for her to get married So soon. If the story unfolded in a way that she was mistreated by her kids or she was feeling suffocated and neglected by her kids and she felt alone and wanted company, then if Mahir proposed to her and this would make her think that oh I spent 2-4 years as a widow and now I want companionship then it would have made sense. All she wanted was freedom to live her life. Marriage (no matter with a young boy or old man) wasn’t her priority. What if Mahir again suffocates her like Hidayatullah and she is stuck in a toxic relationship again? This doesn’t go with the initial plot where Mehru was shown to be someone who missed her teenage and wanted to relive that phase of life. Marriage no matter how it is , is a big responsibility and she has to mould herself in one way or another.
As per my comment on a middle aged woman marrying a young boy, I think it’s cultural issue. In middle class families no matter how well educated they are, it’s still considered taboo. I agree with Amma that if you are that strong mentally to not give a hoot to others’ opinion then ho ahead. Otherwise normally we always think about loag Kia kahein ge, rishtedaar Kia sochein ge, adjust kaise ho gi, compatibility nahi ho gi, baby honay mein mushkil ho gi due to age. These are realities of our society. And statistics show that such marriages hardly work because the guy himself gets fed up of an elder woman and when he is in his 40s he won’t even look at her 60 year old wife. Age difference is a big thing koi maanay ya na maanay.

amma is right .about dobara ....a woman can marry or remarry on her own will ,,but she must have the gumption to deal with the society ,,and their scathing comments..because no matter how much woman is educated or privleged ,she has to carry the whole baggage of the family.
I don’t usually comment. But I had to because Momin’s review of Parizad doesn’t make sense at all and Parizad deserves all the praises. Everyone is trying to release last episode in cinemas but this episode was literally made for big screen. Performances, cinematography and quality, just wow. It was performed well beyond perfection. There were soooo many emotions and feelings in every single scene of the last episode. Extremely impactful. So so well performed. I watched it on my phone and still it felt like I was watching an actual movie, the quality was that level. If they had done everything Momin was expecting it would have lost the impact. It’s not just another masala show, Parizad is much deeper than anything on Pakistan television and cinemas combined. Most beautiful last episode ever. So real so simple yet so heart touching. I’ll be watching it again. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 🎩 off
I really want to mention that Parizad was absolute perfection. There might not be romance for people whose love language is physical touch. For people who crave for intelligence, dignity, empathy and kindness in their relationships, this was a breath of fresh air. Aini decided to work on Parizad's insecurities by being her friend first. She decides to stay and fight for the person who had been a hope for her when she could not live due to her own insecurity. This was her love. This was their love. This is how in life we often get things, not in ways we have dreamed of but rather in ways that are much more amazing and better for us. This was not your regular drama with mundane theme where the girl would sit on Sej for the hero at the end. Even though they never ruled out the possibility of a romantic/physical ending rather left it for all of us to imagine how we would want it to be. This was the absolute closure. Momin, this was absolute closure ☺

Regarding dobara, I think you should mention that better trajectory was to show this women independent, doing rhings she couldn’t do. Taking care of her own business etc and then maybe think of getting married. They again showed she found someone else to take care of her just like her first husband

Living in USA I had lost touch with Pakistani dramas. But now thanks to amma, I get the hilarious snippets every week even without actually watching the dramas. Her Punjabi and mannerism makes me miss my Lahore and college days.
For #feedbackcorner, drama Dobara, I feel deals with psychological aspect of human desires. Mahir has mommy issues because his mother abondened him so he is substituting Mehroo in that capacity. Mehroo feels that in her youth years, she didn’t get to live her young life so she sees Mahir as a way to feel that young energy.

About dobara, honestly It would seem a little odd for me if i see someone getting married again at an old age, and that too with a younger person, be it an old man marrying a young girl or an old woman marrying a young guy. But for me there is an added difference between the two which is the class difference. And i agree with momin that they should have shown real feelings for eachother, like meeting soulmates. Why would a sensible and experienced woman like mehru throw away her life for a guy she doesn't even know is sincere.

Thanks, Momin, for your precis of the final episode of Parizad. It does sound underwhelming. Did they address the main premise of show which was his looks and how they effected him? I think the last episode should have been all about looks vs being a good human being.
I agree with you 100%, the last whole episode was all crap, It was all loosely Connected , no sense was made in the decision of Parizaad in staying back in the hills , and also no sense of need was Annie 's coming back . didn't like the last two episode. (In fact the whole track of Annie, she acted so childish).

Maintained and physically active woman unlike so she would never be happy with unhealthy elderly man. So yes, she deserved to be with someone with same mentality and that level. So they both have compatibility on many levels and attraction and love cannot happen right away so hopefully it eventually happens for them.

I truly agree with momin, they shouldn't drag the last episode in two or three parts, it would have been good experience if the last episode was shown as it was supposed to be rather than extending it in two episodes.
