I do enjoy punk music and as a kid I was always fascinated by the Punk styles,hair,badges,names and symbols etc... I so wanted to be a punk but my mother would never have approved....mums know best . I have very little american punk in my collection,I need more Dead Kennedys and I need to buy vinyl by Black Flag,Misfits,Circle Jerks and Bad Brains.

You just have to kind of spin the questions a bit I suppose and adapt. I think some of the questions were kind of lost in translation a bit but if a gibbering bufoon like me can do it,I'm damn sure you can. I haven't got the best of punk collections,I get by. Just use what you have at your disposal,it doesn't have to be just vinyl. Sit and have a think,you'll come up with something 👍👍👍

I’m on the fence with the old sub genre thing but d-beat or “discharge beat” and crust do have some slightly different styles, you could say the punk in itself is a sub genre of rock n roll. Great tag response, the Pogues are punk. D-beat 3rd wave hardcore punks, Crusty's are tree hugging Levellers style punks, but as you say they are all still punks. I think the book was only a quid from a carboot sale,not sure I've even read it,probably just looked at the pictures ??? Damned are gigging this year as well,I've seen dates in December being advertised. I fancy seeing Sham69 again....supported by the Anti Nowhere League in Cambridge
I love the damned, what a band. From my understanding D Beat is a drumming style that Discharged used on there songs. Post punk is dumb, my I really dislike the term goth as a genre, how are Depeche and the cramps both considered goth? That makes no sense to me. Very cool to see Billy childish! My local store just got in a few of his singles
