The last time this road get an entire fixing was1981 or 82 .this road is really long overdue. I am happy its not a Toll Road as was first proposed... plus pipes putting underground simultaneously. The person that commented that the light wire should be underground, underground is very expensive, secondly when Britain gave us our independence they didn't gave us a dollar, they left us on our own and before that they have worked us 300 years for free .. so when you look at those well developed cities remember its your ancestors blood.. enjoy them and when you retire come home back to jamaica.. Jamaica will soon look like them
Electric is underground in the UK we don’t have wire showing everything is underground that’s why most time they dig up the road to fix things👌…. However this road looks so much better compared to years ago I can’t wait to experience this road when I visit Jamaica 🇯🇲 thank you for the update 🙌
Excellent video and description of what is taking place. The other person who is talking with you is doing an excellent commentary. Keep up the good work. Conrad from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 👍
I can bet that St Thomas is the perfect place to grow rice, and jamaica would not have to import rice into the country, because St Thomas is a place that have abundance of water, and flooded areas .
Rice growing in jamaica is not financially feasible plus not enough arable acreage to grow rice. There are so many studies done to look at that option. Guyana currently has large swats of land to grow rice economically and profitable. The last government tried to grow rice here andnit was a disaster and waste of money. We end up now importing rice exclusively from Guyana
@@Wes20231 Where have you been ? Rice is grown in Jamaica, which they call FLOATING BUFFALO RICE, and have you heard of BRUMDEC ? It was also mentioned by Andrew Holness about 4 years ago, that it is possible to increase rice growing in the country, and are engaged in irrigation and drainage management projects to GROW RICE . So to come with big speech about arable land is folly . The land is there, but is to have the right DRAINAGE SYSTEM put in place to grow rice .
@azariahisrael3898 The rice project at brumdec is dead, long dead as the quality of rice grow there is subpar and is not marketable. This information has been now in the public every since the experiment was conducted to determine if jamaica can grow rice commercially and feasible. The quality rice grown here is very poor and that is why 100% of jamaica rice comes from Guyana. Rice can not be grow in jamaica as the quality that we get for the commercial market is poor because if it was many investors in the farming community would have invested or we would have investors coming into the country to grow rice commercially. The previous government wasted a lot of money on unfeasible ideas such as the rare mineral project and nothing came out of that. The same waste of money was also done on this rice growing project
