Hello Rick and Rod and thanks for giving VOB a chance. And BIG respect for showing your screen comments in English AND Indonesian, that was an unexpectedly thoughtful surprise! And, because you seem open-minded and willing to consider something different than what you're used to, I would respectfully ask that you do a little research on why someone would wear hijab/modest attire (and it's not, in this case, because they are forced to, they have chosen this). Consider all the objectification crap women get from men on a daily basis, simply for walking down the street, for instance. Reversing the roles, and it was you being harassed, how would you deal with it? Would you take steps to lessen the triggering? Regarding not caring about lyrics, would you feel ok rocking out to a white power song? Extreme example, but I'm sure there are things you feel strongly about, as do these young ladies, and that's why their original songs all have very strong lyrics. They have a line in one of their songs, "I just wanna sing a song, to show my soul". That's why they do what they do...
I think it’s very appropriate for this band to be singing Rage Against the Machine covers, because to me they are bringing atrocities to the surface just like they used to do. That was how U2 got started too. Rod and I are different in that I read the lyrics when I listen to a song, which why I provide them in the description. I also provide tablatures so if any aspiring young people(or old people) want to pick up a guitar and play the song they can see how to do it. This band even existing is a miracle, being finally getting the blessing of their parents to having rocks thrown at them. I know wearing the hijab was a choice, but I feel like it also gives us a chance to see their talent without seeing their looks. Considering the climate where they come from, it was a risk, but the took it, and have held their ground. I admire them for that, and I look forward to doing more videos. Thank you for watching.

I consider Voice of Baceprot to be one of the more important bands in recent years because of some backlash they are overcoming and some of the issues they sing about. Lyrics are important and in some countries can get you thrown in jail (ask members of Pussy Riot in Russia). My favorite song from VOB is [NOT] PUBLIC PROPERTY. I personally listen to lyrics and they are important to me. Rod is more into the music. I think both are important. These girls didn’t even know what metal was until they met their guidance counselor and when they started playing, they were hooked, even though they didn’t have they blessing from their parents, which they now do, and even though people were throwing rocks at them and calling them to tell them to stop playing the music. The fact that this band even exists is a miracle and the girls have a lot of resolve. I was impressed with some of their interviews and next time we react, I’ll have more to say about them. That was how U2 got started too. Rod and I are different in that I read the lyrics when I listen to a song, which why I provide them in the description. I also provide tablatures so if any aspiring young people(or old people) want to pick up a guitar and play the song they can see how to do it.
This band even existing is a miracle, being finally getting the blessing of their parents to having rocks thrown at them. I know wearing the hijab was a choice, but I feel like it also gives us a chance to see their talent without seeing their looks. Considering the climate where they come from, it was a risk, but the took it, and have held their ground. I admire them for that, and I look forward to doing more videos. Thank you for watching.

I think it was great that you posted all the information about the band and included the tablature (link) too. These are the little things that allow us to see the sincerity of the person(s) we are watching! I have been following this band for a number of years and who they are is as important as what they play.
@@bw1342 Yes. This band has a major story and they are standing strong against pushback. This just shows how much people will defend their music and the right to play it without hindrance. As far as other songs, the band did Beastie Boys. I put that in the queue and marked it urgent. Awww man. Rod’s camera is not 4K, but mine is. We started to use my camera but I forgot to charge the second battery. I have coma brain. I’ve only been out of the hospital for a short time. I was dead when I went in on March 24, 2021. My memory is shot. I’m still looking for a bottle of A1 steak sauce I bought 4 months ago. Lol. We ended up switching over to Rod’s equipment. I consider Voice of Baceprot to be one of the more important bands in recent years because of some backlash they are overcoming and some of the issues they sing about. Lyrics are important and in some countries can get you thrown in jail (ask members of Pussy Riot in Russia). My favorite song from VOB is [NOT] PUBLIC PROPERTY. I personally listen to lyrics and they are important to me. Rod is more into the music. I think both are important. These girls didn’t even know what metal was until they met their guidance counselor and when they started playing, they were hooked, even though they didn’t have they blessing from their parents, which they now do, and even though people were throwing rocks at them and calling them to tell them to stop playing the music. The fact that this band even exists is a miracle and the girls have a lot of resolve. I was impressed with some of their interviews and next time we react, I’ll have more to say about them. In my youth, my friends and I always gathered at club which had a great jukebox and we sang the songs at the top of our lungs. I am sure when sounded horrible. Those were the days
@@danw6048 oh yes! My sister’s father in law had a jukebox in his basement. I loved that thing! I remember getting a new cassette and reading the lyrics as I listened to the song, but I was also singing half of them. The one song that we really loved to sing out loud was Mony Mony by Billy Idol.
