I loved the series he did with MALF a year or two ago. It's sad that people crapping on malf ensured that it's not happening again.

Maybe NL will realize that he isn't a PvP gamer. What makes him great/unique is the banter in chill games. SMB vs other players sucks, SMB with MALF is peak content.

i love sports games they are so cozy, i am cozed out of my mind with how many sports games he's played recently.
The fact that people get salty over how someone plays super mega baseball is insane to me. like mlb the show id maybe get but super mega baseball really lol
Some people choose to tryhard at backseating instead of the game itself or even just in life in general
the hypercritical backseating is annoying in any game - theres a fine line in twitch chat between banter and comradery with chat, and chat just being assholes about every button press, and despite him avoiding best he could for most the video you can tell when he glances at chat and doesnt say anything in response, is just because its all the asshole backseating. I think it just built and this game got the axe for it, because unlike when people are annoying backseaters in sap or wildfrost, he can atleast spend a minute or two chatting and reset. But with this its pitch or bat every 15 seconds and even 3 guys being assholes consistently with every glance will get under your skin. Shame but twitch gotta learn to just watch and laugh.

Hey NL, I want you to know that SMB3 w/ Malf was a huge highlight and beloved distraction from the craziness of 2020 for me. I totally get if you’ve already made up your mind, but it would truly be incredible to see Malf and you back at it.
Either way, the enjoyment has been bountiful in this miniseries and I feel blessed by the Pog Lord.
I was smiling whenever he said "not my pitch" in the first game and it was a ball. I am thinking "of course that wouldn't be your pitch" but then realized I probably would have swung at half of them :)

Oh my God. I binged super mega baseball 3 when that was out when I was on vacation. Lo and behold I am in the same spot and you release super mega baseball 4 content just as I was thinking, "man it would be sick if I had my favorite streamer's fake sports to keep up on this week."

Jumping a car battery: from jumper to jumpee
Red to Red, Black to engine block/frame.
while red-red, black-black will usually work to start a dead battery, it completes the circuit instead of providing some kind of grounding causing juice to flow back to the jumper so it's less efficient but the sparks are kinda cool.
The thing I noticed about the CPU on higher Ego levels, is that they hardly bite on close pitches so you have to paint the corners and edges of the strike zone to force them to swing. Its okay to waste a few pitches to setup a strikeout, but try to force the CPU to swing at a pitch.
It was weird when he moved the cam and it felt like he just stood up

I don't know a thing about baseball other than the rules (mostly) but watching NL play Super Mega Baseball is a dopamine factory.
as a former umpire + player, the reason u can run past first from my understanding ~
1st base is the only base where you don't have other running options - on 2nd and 3rd, you're frequently running back and forth because you have the option to return to the previous base, which means the opponent already knows exactly where you're going, putting you at a disadvantage. since this is your only option, you'll naturally need to sprint if you're going to beat the ball. by allowing you to run past the bag, you aren't forced to chooseb between slowing down or speeding up, instead, this rule allows the runner to sprint AND retain both options; either stay on 1st OR chase down 2nd

He throws more breaking balls that move in and out of the strikezone than breaking balls that move >-< WITHIN the strikezone.
The former induces more called strikes and swinging strikes. The latter induces weak contact, flyouts, and foul balls. Both are important so he should balance it out.
And of course use fastballs to pitch tunnel as he realized in this video.

Regarding car batteries, I have had mine die several times because of a few different reasons, often because I was a new driver and a student in university who was taking naps in their car and forgetting to turn the headlights off. Or I would just chill in the car because it was the most private place available to me, and I wouldn't think about the fact that leaving the car running for a couple hours can kill the battery. Even though I've had to jump my car many times, it's been a while and it's very easy to forget how to connect the terminals properly. Anyone that acts like it is easy should not be trusted with your car because if you're not being careful and assuming it is easy then connecting the terminals wrong can be incredibly dangerous. Although on modern cars, I don't think it's that dangerous any more because the batteries are different, although it can still damage the equipment.

One thing that never felt right about these Super Mega Baseball games is throw power. It seems like the difference between like a 30 power throw and a 95 power throw is insanely minor. And that there is basically no reason to risk overthrowing.
If as an outfielder you throw a 30 power throw from the warning track to the cutoff man, it should bounce and roll to them.
How's about you make this into an offline series you don't play on twitch?

Elite at listening to the radio
I can't believe people still play sports games that try and be a sim that focuses on being realistic while there's the arcade-style sports games that focus on being FUN. SMBB is just so tight and well made for a game where the people look like celebrity deathmatch characters. Same goes for racing games. Honestly, I'd rather play GTAV racing compared to Forza any day, just because it's not taking away fun for the sake of realism.
Well, even though smbb looks arcade and definitely plays arcade ish it runs a complex simulation of baseball, so it's for everyone my kid can play with the mojo turned down, or I can play competitive ball , the game does both, and most people over look it, I know EA bought them and that made me nervous, but still a great game

That's because baseball is the most difficult sport to play.
I couldn't believe this is a game that came out last year. Then I saw the developer. They are charging almost AAA price for this 360 era lookalike pos. We are all gonna sound like dinosaurs trying to explain to our kids that there really used to be good sports games that weren't just racing.

It’s because the other team got the 3rd out at first, so the inning was over. No runs count in this situation. If it was 1st or 2nd out, it would have counted :)

I don't know this game well, but assuming you can change your lineup (because, why wouldn't you be able to?), I would put Casper batting either 1st or 4th. He has a high average and hits flyballs well. Maximize your potential to put baserunners on, score runs, and extend innings when you're batting. If pitching's a lost cause, which it seems to be, why not take the opportunity to run up the score a little bit?
