I like that with every cover Roy doesn't try to imitate the original singer but just focuses on giving a song his all and making it his own. He didn't write this song but when he sings it, its so raw and honest like he means every word.
His voice is unique and is on different level.. He sings sincerely. emotionally. and you really get absorbed to his singing no matter what the song is. uncomparable.
Newton's Apple I agree! Although it's taeyangs song, Roy has a more beautiful voice in my opinion and damn, he FEELS the song more than taeyang does. I usually like to close my eyes and merely listen to his singles and albums but when it comes to live performances, i make sure to watch them to see his expressions because he speaks every lyric like he really means it, and his energy as a performer, be it in upbeat or sentimental songs, is truly captivating. I think that it's his fearlessness to really be vulnerable on stage, opening his heart and soul to the audience which makes him such a strong and impactful performer. Sorry for my rant but he's such an asset to the world of music and I needed to say it somewhere.
