Christus Rex for one bro I don't know how you overfeed big monitors they are exactly like komodos they are trash compactors they are nature's cleaner uppers in nature day Gorge themselves until they throw up they get his big in his fat as they possibly can no overfeeding your monitor in a very small habitat that's cruel you should see my Croc monitor he's over 9 feet eat baby pigs baby goats jumbo rabbits the monitors you are referring to are like Argus monitors Savannah monitors smaller Nile monitors then you don't overfeed but big monitors like this you can get pumped food all things all day and you won't hurt them one little bit
Komodos don't gorge themselves on a daily basis. In their natural habitat they go long times between each gorging, their feeding opportunities are irregular, and obviouly this is the exact reason why they evolve that gorging behavior, because they don't know when their next meal will be. Plus, in nature they actively look for their food, they are very active, sometimes they have to track their prey for many days... How some guys overfeed their monitor? They just feed a captive sedentary animal too many times and too regularly.
@@lesbooth9454 I agree with you Les, you can never overfeed a Reptile, I would very much Like to See your Gigantic Monitor Lizard, Maybe you Could Post a Video of Him To your Channel?
Their bites can be deadly for adult humans, dangerous but elegantly gorgeous animals. I’d give a testicle for the chance to own one. Google their skull and you’ll see how many and how large their teeth are, a skull full of backwards facing razor blades and it’s interesting to know they’re also venomous.
Had a little Timor Monitor for years. Only 2 ft full grown. Always a handful when cleaning his cage. Not sure I'd tackle that monster. I do love how the wife giggles while their kid comments. She knows the lizard's not staying in the living room.
4thedefense this was just for show. You can pick him up and carry him. I just thought it would be funny to get him trotting along the floor. But yes they are smart and remember everything. At the same time, food takes president.
Toothless Reptiles I don't see the lizard lol love kids haha but at the time of this vid how long was he I know they get pretty long and do you socialize with her daily ? She hates that tote lol
Kimberly Lynn that's our big male Don Vitto. He is about 8 feet long in this video. I think he measured 7'10". The previous owner worked with him a lot including target training him. I can carry him wherever he needs to go but I just wanted to show you you could tote a large reptile if need be.
just like owning a Money Pit salvadoriis these days are going to run your wallet around one Grand Beautiful Lizard but i just dont see a point in spending over 800.00 on one 800 shipped would be the best Deal nice thing however is he or she will sell very Fast if you ever decide to part ways with that Excellent Gem Mint conditioned Specimen!!
When feeding them I wouldn’t handle but petting them after you give them food is a great way to reinforce handling their young! But this person has already tamed theirs and they seem really calm so it isn’t necessary, still awesome they’re awesome lizards!!
@@tylerhurm3020 yeah but crocodile monitors are the worst I've read about them it's the way they are shaped they even cut themselves in their mouth but I'm just not into them anyways like i am other monitors
@@kellyallen6830 interesting, didnt know about that. I'll have to look into it. I've seen their skulls and how they're straight down. I just thought with others and their backward curve they could be just as much of a nightmare.
Great vid. Good looking lizard. Check out some of my new vids. Im pretty new to all of this reptile stuff. But i have some cool animals. I will sub your channel
Look at that tail length, holy crap!!!
Tey grow 2x the size
The kid calling him a crocomoner was adorable.
That long swinging tail remind me with the Velociraptor in Jurassic Park movie, at the scene when it attacking people at the grass field
“Leezurd”
And
“Crokormonor”
Get me every time lol
THAT IS A TYRANOSAURUS REX! THAT IS A DINOSAUR!
The way he trots over to the food once he realizes what's happening is adorable.
THATS HOW YOU CRATE A LARGE MONITOR ! GOOD JOB CORY
It's cool to see an healthy and not overfed monitor! Too many videos show overweight and sluggish monitor lizards. It's sad!

I wouldn't have a croc monitor if I had small children.

Are you a little concerned that the next time you try to coax him into the box he'll remember, and be less cooperative?

If I were getting a crocodile monitor would I make it a paludarium
I love to see an animal in its natural environment: upright piano, tape measure, plastic storage tub...
no wonder he lost tail closed it off in the fucking bin!
milldabeast519 hahahaha. It wasn't that bad. Happy Easter.
Wasn't that Good! U seem really scared of him.. u don't touch him??
Does it live in that black box?

About 30 minutes. Just for Vet trips.

Tyler Hurm yeah crocs teeth get lodged in their gums and get prone to infection
You are soo hard on your animals
And here I sit and couldn't help by say, "Watch the tail!" when seeing that lid squeezed against it.
Almost kinked the tail
Raseef LawzoFNature hahaha yeah maybe, it would take a lot more than a tote lid to kink a Croc tail that big. Everyone came out ok.
