    The driver finds very nice shortcuts and reads the traffic very well to avoid the jams. From other videos I know he also handles the vehicle very well in tight spots.

      As a German: Dutch people are on another level of awareness. I think it's because they all learn it as children from cycling. The cycling lanes are sometimes as complex as car lanes and you should never walk over a white or yellow line in a Dutch city without looking out for a cyclist. I love it!

      Love the courtesy of road users here. If this were in South Africa, the truck would only get there after the building has burnt to the ground. Primarily due to firestations being scarce, and road users not giving a $#! ¥ about emergency vehicles.
      I truly miss having law and order here 🤷🏼‍♂️

Best intense situatie zo'n schreeuwende brandweerwagen vol in je spiegels, en toch reageert vrijwel iedereen volkomen voorspelbaar en beheerst, en doet z'n best aan de kant te gaan voor zover dat kan.

      One of the MANY reasons things burn to the ground in South Africa before emergency services actually get to the scene.
      This and the fact that road users don't get out of the way for emergency vehicles, and the area I live in, not having a fire department any more (just put it down to bad management and government corruption 🤷🏼‍♂️)

    How about an AC in the trucks!? It's not a request, it's a Must! These men need to be 100% when arriving a scene. Love you!

    • @Dutch3DMaster
      @Dutch3DMaster 3 роки тому

      Honestly, I think it would degrade to much over time: AC units only work up to a certain point due to their inner workings and need a while in order to cool reasonably well, upon reaching your end destination, they are better off switched off about 5 minutes prior to reaching your destination in order for the system to cool down and, at a different part heat back up with some help of the remaining circulation.
      This also comes next to the fact that them arriving at a destination with AC on gives you a slap in the face if it's actually hot outside, which is not good for your health.
      Given that most trips are usually short, the system would be up to max cooling capacity basically right before they arrive, it would be useless.
