Using fresh pineapples, it's great on pizza, but canned ones are just way too sweet to complement the savoriness of the rest of the pizza.
This man needs anything that grows from the ground to be cold and crispy. What an adorable guy.

I feel like people who dislike pineapple pizza bc the cooking makes the pineapples "mushy" just haven't tried a proper one. The thing is that the pineapples give a crispy and fresh flavour to it!
Yeah, a low quality pineapple pizza basically just tosses some canned pineapple slices on the pizza and calls it a day. It just ends up being mushy and wet. A good pineapple pizza properly grills the pineapple and it's completely different and way better.
I never tried pizza with mushy pineapple toppings. All the pineapples I get on my pizza are firm yet still chewable and sweet.
As someone who hates pinapple pizza, one of the reasons why i hate it is because pizza generally has this soft and chewy texture to it so when i ate pinnaple pizza and bite into the pineapple it usually has this hard crunchy feeling and all the liquid inside just rushes to my mouth, which is why i actually prefer the mushy ones because it usually doesn't have a very strong taste and the liquid is dispersed.
Depending on how its cooked, it can be either disgusting or compliment the rest of the pizza in a great way. I once tried a pineapple pizza and it was terrible because of how sweet it was. I also don't like to mix food and drinks(by gulping a drink right after biting some pizza for example), so it was the worst scenario for me. I dislike tomatoes on pizza for the same reason.
But another one I tried was pretty great because pineapple was both sour and sweet, it didn't stand out too much. It worked well with the rest of the pizza and it was very enjoyable.
This, this is true for me as someone who enjoys pineapple pizza
I like pineapple on Pizza, but he has a very valid angle for his opinion. Many fruits and vegetables do become mushy when hot if they aren't cooked in certain ways. If you're big on the texture of food, that is a big mark against them.

Honestly, I used to be the same way until I actually tried putting pineapple on pizza.
I hated pineapple on pizza when I heard of it, but when I actually ate it, it just proves how disgusting it was, don't worry I'm not saying that people who like pineapples on their pizza is disgusting, I'm just saying the toppings are... yea...
