a better mob farm is the stacked design with water dispensers forcing mobs off, it doesnt rely on mob ai to walk off the ledges and it spawns what is effectively a constant stream of mobs that you could just drop directly onto the catalyst

Takes too long to build , not to mention moving the mobs and lag. On top of that, plug-ins might prevent EOL from functioning properly. Would be interesting to see tho!
@@EpicPlaysGame with large continuous streams of exp, the tendrils just keep growing for hundreds of blocks. would be a lot more efficient

@@delilah1377 Na, it can take a huge amount of time, without even bringing the fact that it might be too technical of a build. Transporting the mobs could also cause lag or crashes, so its faster to just grow the stuff and place it for smaller areas.
We all know this is gonna be one of the first things someone does when 2b2t eventually upgrades to 1.19…

I thought option one was to make it spread, although first of all, it has a max radius. Second, you can see them BUILDING on the land instead of it spreading. So technically you did option two

@@SoapyBun the max radius he means might be the max radiuts of the sculker spreading, sculk can't spread too far even a lot of mobs die, if there's no max radius the world can actually be covered with sculk blocks

I think a better farm for these project was a raid one, since you can just stay afk and they will drop to they're death and it has many mobs. The only bad part is the fact that is, maybe, a little hard to build, but i think is worth the time and it will saved you so many hours, but still i enjoyed the video pretty much 😉

i will admit, as a player of primarily 1.7.10 modded Minecraft, this reminded me of Thaumcraft Taint in the best way. something about it is just quite interesting to me. never thought i'd get that out of modern MC.

Here’s my theory; the warden isn’t it’s own separate species but an off branch of the wither being separated when the ancient builders built the nether portal. When it entered the overworld, it dug straight down leaving holes in the surface which are what lush caves become. It found a small patch of skulk and was skulkified.
It’s a big leap of evolution to make that statement as withers and wardens look very different, even foregoing a distant ancestor. A iron golem consumed by the sculk seems more reasonable.
@@theorangeoof926How would the Iron Golem come into contact with the skulk. It is usually found deep underground.
@@RaidTheKiller Huge caverns near villages or lost builders built them for protection, these theoretical builders probably aren't supposed to be players but another thing
@@theorangeoof926 I agree, plus the Wither is more related to the Nether while the Warden is more like an apex predator for the Overworld. Being a corrupted Iron Golem would make sense, since the Iron Golem is already an extremely powerful mob, add to it through the skulk and weird magic the game has in its proposed lore, you get the Warden. A being corrupted from its original duties after finding itself inside a cave and separated from its village, going after everything that makes sounds as the skulk growing and binding to its body removed its sight.
@@ihavenoideawhatimdoingwith4240 So if we all support the theory that there were a race of builders long before the age of the player, then we are to consider that the ancient builders did experiment with soul energy. Say the ancient builders had a person die in the nether and their souls joined the masses stuck in the soul sand/soil, would they not have created the wither attempting to bring their comrade back? In the case of my theory, this must have backfired horribly in order for the civilization to fall into shambles so quickly. The wither that they had summoned hunted them down to the depths of the Overworld, the builders escaped to the end, while the wither found the skulk and was skulkified. Your ideas are one possible answer to the origin of the warden, but I feel as an iron golem would be a stretch because golems and wardens may be much similar in overview of the body shape, but many hundreds or possibly thousands have years have passed, so take into consideration the fact that the wither could have adapted to life underground.

The full day/night cycle is 20 minutes, but the night by itself is 7 min

In bedrock edition, sculk does not spread that way. The spot where the mob dies, it grows there

Shouldn't you be able to funnel zombie pigmen through a nether portal in the sky and push them via water stream to fall onto a skulk catalyst that would then continuously be spreading skulk as long as you had one player in the Nether and on player in the overworld to keep the mobs from de-spawning?

Unfortunately, at least from what I have heard of them, only the natural spawning shriekers will summon the warden. The brightness of the swirling souls animation is bright on natural shriekers and dark on the harvested and placed ones.
New Evil biome: Sculk
Only Terraria players will understand
If Minecraft could add a sculk biome that's not underground with sculk animals and trees that would be awesome
in end (maybe 1.20?)
They could make the portal work and have a skulk dimension.
And it will slowly infect the world but not too fast because then it will be like terraria

The way I would've done this is by getting several sculk catalysts, and putting them on the mountain, then I would build mob farms over each of them. Harvesting more catalysts as they appeared

@@chadbroski0146 no, the catalysts spawn sculk, he used a command block to make ravagers die in the catalyst, I would have that setup placed all over the mountain, and if i was doing it in survival I would place a basic mob farm over all of them

Could you not have just expanded the walkway for the pigmen from the portal and relocated the catalyst to the next area to keep using exp to spread it?

Honestly, pretty disappointing. I came here expecting some crazy-ass method of spreading skulk naturally through hundreds of chunks, only him to just place manually a couple of it over some random terrain. I might as well just search for terrain reforming videos and actually get something nicer. I guess that’s what clickbait is about, huh.

I did something similar but I just did it with a mountain and it was a fast strategy because I placed like 7 catalyst and let the warden kill all the mobs and it infected like a lot of the mountain but I had to use a command to naturally spawn it but it still worked for me
