The superstition associated with walking under a ladder is that it will bring you bad luck. The song is about failures that anyway will lead to success. We should put off doubts and fears and make our dreams come true. That's what life is for! He's only 20, but life story and philosophy of this singer is the real evidence of afore-said. :)

Vidbir really brought the goods this past national selection season with one of the strongest line-up of songs I've heard (and seen performed live) so far. All the finalists, from Kadnay to Tayanna, were outstanding so anyone of them winning, I'd be totally fine with.
In Ukraine I was rooting for ILLARIA, Constantine or Vilna but Melovin was one of the best as well. I just hope he will leave that burning piano - it's one of the most spectacular things about this staging

It has no ethnic vibe. I also love how they just focused completely on the beat, catchyness, his look and the burning stuff. No one focused on the lyrics of the song... WHICH ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO UNDERSTAND! This dude barely speaks English. And I absolutely don't mind that. As long as you are smart enough to choose to sing in your native language, because that's just common sense! No English? That's alright, use your own language. Why don't people get that?! Liking this entry is like awarding stupidity and I will not stand for that!
And if he chose to sing in his native language, you would understand the lyrics? You can find the lyrics online, if you cannot understand.
