You know what would be amazing to put in those planters under the window? Small Rosemary bushes! Can you imagine how beautiful the smell would be when you woke up to the sub hitting the dew laden Rosemary leaves? Wow!

You have such a clean and beautiful cabin
Suggestion:
1. with all the rain water coming.. it would be beneficial for your cabin to have a Rain collection tank (a roof gutter is attached to the tank)..that is then connected to your stove (brass pipe in the stove heating the water) and going towards your bathroom/shower/toilet/kitchen.
2. Mesh door attached (Opening outwards) would be nice, cause during summer and autumn you can open the door and the mesh door will bring in fresh air.

庭に植える樹は、落葉樹がお勧めです。夏は太陽の陽を遮り、冬は、太陽が拝めます。
スギ、ヒノキを伐る毎に広葉樹を植えています。これまでにケヤキ、クヌギ、ブナ、コブシ、モミジ、ナナカマドなどを植えました。
20年後くらいには賑やかな雑木林になってるといいなと思っています。
梅、栗、ミカン、柚子など、果実のなる樹もお勧めです。私も枕木で小屋を建て遊んでいます。いつも、楽しみに見ています。頑張って下さい。

What kind of wood is used to build a cabin?
It is the log which I thinned and the packing crate which I became unnecessary (I got in the distribution warehouse of the port).

スリムな体型なのに片手で丸太をスイスイと運んでますね。何かコツでもあるのかな。
この丸太は倒してから数ヶ月経っていて乾燥してるので軽いのです。倒したばかりの（特に今の時期の）丸太はこんな風には運べません^^;
なぜ 雨の日に
樹の植え替えをする際は大量の水が必要なのですが、この小屋には井戸も水道もないので雨の日にやることにしています。
なるほど 納得 造園かじった者の素朴な疑問井戸 欲しいですね 水脈あれば トライですね飲めなくても 有れば便利
