The Aqualung album was made at this studio, and nary a mention. A couple of years earlier the band that made that album had been blowing Zeppelin off the stage (saw it with my own eyes), so Zep refused to continue touring with them-and an envious Robert Plant stole the front man's overcoat to boot. So much for knowing your history.
Panglos ... I guess you need to take that up with radio 4. I merely added some images to the piece on the radio. By the way, they didn't mention Manzanera's 801 either. Sometimes life is unfair huh?
That’s because Tull are/were sh!t. They never had a tune recognisable to the wider public. Everyone knows “Whole lotta love” or “Kashmir”! They weren’t influential. Still waiting for the explosion of flute/folk dubstep records. No one gives a blind tinkers fart about Jethro Toe.

I remember visiting here when I was young as my Auntie worked there .
Why did it close?
For all the reasons mentioned in this video....everyone's making recordings in their bedroom now.
They moved to Sarm Studios 105 Ladbroke Grove just down the road.
