  • Olympic champion track and field athlete Maria Lasitskene became the second in the high jump competition at the 2023 Russian Athletics Team Championship in Sochi.
    The athlete overcame the mark of 1.88 m . In the last attempt, Lasitskene tried to take a height of 1.91 m, but did not make the jump and ran under the bar. The winner of the competition was the Belarusian athlete Karina Demidik, whose result was 1.91 m. Another second place was taken by Natalia Spiridonova, who showed a similar result with Lasitskene

    I feel bad for Lasitskene ngl- She was so good in the last years but now she seems to struggle 😢 Probably because they aren’t allowed to compete in Championships
