The nostalgia hit me from the opening moment. Loved Beetlejuice growing up. Danny Elfman’s score is a chef’s kiss. Looking forward to this sequel.
Same here. Definitely takes me back to my childhood in the late 80's and early 90's
I love hearing that Danny Elfman score again. It’s great to see they went using mostly practical effects instead of CGI heavy with this movie.

I love the fact that he was willing to do this years ago and was just waiting for the script to come along and now after all these years we finally get to see what happens when he shakes the juice and see what shakes loose. I was not expecting that Wynona-as-Elvira opening, but it nicely set up the trailer. I hope they all have a LOT of fun on the press tour.
I also wonder how many people are going to watch this because they've seen the returning cast in other shows (Schitt's Creek, Stranger Things, etc) and don't know about the original.
Beetlejuice has been pretty prominent in Halloween decorations and costumes for years- that Spirit Halloween factor has probably provided a baseline interest or awareness. Though I imagine there'll be people watching, or rewatching, the original leading up to this one as a result.

It's not a movie directed by Tim Burton without the score being done by Danny Elfman. Although, even Danny admits that the score for the first Beetlejuice is difficult, especially for tuba players.
The living are now exploring the land of the dead. Not the first time this was used in fiction, but this is more reminiscent to the cartoon series where Lydia would pop in and out of both realms constantly.
Given that the Maitlands were newlyweds in the first movie, not having them return is a wise move. Geena Davis is doing whatever she is doing while Alec Baldwin injured his career by not practicing gun safety. It's the little things that can make or break a reputation.
I agree with y’all. Michael Keaton’s manic portrayal, and the visual aesthetic definitely summon nostalgic vibes. Hope it lands.
I am older than Winona Ryder and certainly didn’t age well, but I think she _has_ aged, just slowly and wonderfully. Even her voice, it seems / sounds like. Beautiful woman, undoubtedly.

Did anyone else spotted Danny DeVito in the trailer? If you lower the playback speed to 0.25x, you can see him as the janitor in the 1:30 mark.
For anyone confused, it's 1:30 in the official trailer video, not this one. Right before they show the cast names.
So in a recent interview Geena Davis has stated that her and Alec Baldwin are not reprising their roles as the ghosts because she joked saying that life take its course and ghosts don't age😂 haha. I am so excited for this and been waiting for years. Glad that Tim Burton was inspired to make this film on the set of Wednesday and had Jenna Ortega to join the cast..... The animated series was a huge success with 4 awesome seasons and 94 or 100 episodes. The music in the trailer was theme song from the classic iconic 1989 animated series and I think also first film.
I can't wait. It reminds me of the cartoon where Lydia and Beetlejuice go to Neitherworld and have an adventure together. This is going to be so much fun.
I'm so excited for this movie! Definitely my most anticipated movie for 2024! Michael Keaton looks great, Catherine O'Hara looks great, Wynona Ryder looks great and I love the new additions we're getting like Jenna Ortega who I'm obsessed with after Wednesday, Willem Dafoe, Justin Thereoux and Monica Belluci! I just know even if the movie turns out bad, seeing Michael back as the character is gonna be enough of a fun time! I know he said he didn't want to do it unless it was done right so I have high hopes for this.

I love they have the Monica Bellucci character in this movie. its a nice callback to the original with the wedding ring and her meaning nothing to him, that he pulls the ring off of a finger and that finger is missing from her character in this movie.

i like jenna but i would prefer if they focused more on lydia because to me, it's always been her story (with beetlejuice as the antagonist, though it almost seems like he may be more 'good' in this one or as good as he can be lol)
barbara and adam can't be in in so lydia ~should~ be the main in all three movies (since i'm sure i a third is coming out)

Ghostbusters just had two sequel in the past couple years and they were way better then answer the call. Really wigg you been in two crappy sci-fi film since 2016 and the second one was a sequel that flop to a movie that did semi decently well profit wise. Didn’t cross the billion dollar line but did decently well regardless.
