- Makayla Campa's parents say she was a beautiful soul who blessed them each and every day. When she left this world at the age of 15, Makayla became an organ donor and gave four people a chance to live. Family and friends miss Maklaya. And they will always be proud of her.
Just saw her story.. Makayla and a friend of hers were involved in a car accident back in April of 2021. Her friend died on the scene and Makayla was in the hospital for two days before she was declared brain dead. Glad she saved lives

This is why I'm a organ donor. When I pass if people can use my organ's and I can help anyone, than I couldn't ask for more. I have been a organ donor since I got my license. No hesitation. I'm going to be 58 on August 13th and I hope I can help anyway I can. My deepest sympathy to Mykayla and her family🙏🕊✝️

My eight year old nephew was a organ donor bc of the selfless act of his Momma in 2001. I wish they had this when he was the hero of giving life through his death. I honor his sweet memory every day and God Bless the Donors and Families. So very sorry for the loss of this beautiful young lady.

We as a family already had our 9-11😌😔😪. I really appreciate all the love and kindness others share with my family. The pain is always there...
yes i feel your pain in 2001 my 8 year old son drowned at a resort he gave life to a lot of adults and children i wish they had an Honor walk at that Time instead they had a nurse promise she would hold his Hand during organ removal surgery my prayers are for Makayla's mom and Dad the days will be hard, and the months and years will be long but know God is comforting you giving you strength you may feel like you don't have it but you will sending Hugs your way .

Makayla, I know that you were blessed by our Heavenly Father & were loved by everyone that knew you & you touched so many others that did not. Thank you for giving the gift of life, this was a loving & selfless gift that you gave & for that I honor you. I do not know what circumstances led you to be an organ donor so for that, I am so sorry that you life was cut way, way too short. You were such a beautiful young woman & this might sound kind of odd but you look so much like my daughter Angela. Looking at the photo of you with your beautiful, thick, long, dark brown curly hair & your smile that was so infectious that nobody could resist smiling back at you makes me think of my daughter right now. Just the mere thought of losing my daughter is soul crushing as I am sure it was for your parents, family & friends. I am listed as an organ donor via my Drivers License, my Will & both my daughters are as well. I hope that people will take notice how much organ donations can & will save lives by giving someone a second chance at life whereas it would not be possible otherwise. Thank you Makayla, may you rest in peace & sleep with the Angels in Heaven. My deepest sympathies to Makaylas parents, family & friends who all loved & cherished her. May her spirit live on forever!

Being an organ donor is the most selfless act a person can do. My husband passed away due to Congestive Heart Failure 7 1/2 years ago. When it became clear that he was not going to make it he made me promise to make him a donor. I promised him that I would and I honored his wishes. I wish all donors had an honor walk because they are true heroes. My daughter, son, and I have all registered to be organ donors. Bless this young lady for being selfless. I've been a registered organ donor since I got my drivers license at 17 yo. I'm now 56 yo, so almost 40 years.
I have always hoped that I die in a way that allows me to donate my organs, skin and eyes to help others.
I won't need them because in Heaven I will be whole! Or at least completely joyful, who knows...

I am a great believer that everyone should be an organ donor. The system needs to be set up that anyone 18 and over should automatically be a donor and need to OPT OUT instead of having to sign up for it. Imagine the amount of lives that would be saved/changed this way
