Maury was debuted as the Maury Povich show on September 9th, 1991 and on September 14, 1998, it was rebranded as just Maury and on the first episode from the latter, the very first guests are Lisa, her mother Teresa, Lisa’s boyfriend Danna and his mother Rose. Danna was the first person to take paternity test to see if he is a father of Lisa’s then 2-month old baby Sarah Wood. Back then, it took a week to get the results and when the results are in, Maury was given a Maury card like Polygraph results back in 1998 but instead of famous phrase “you ARE/ARE NOT the father”, in that episode, Maury said “Sarah is your child”.

I’ve watch this show many times that I was feeling down. I have to admit that all of the backflips and running backstage brought me many laughs. I’m going to miss this show so much! The one that messed me up was those girls who were like 13 or under trying to have a baby. Like I was their age and like wtf. One of the girls came back after in tears about how she didn’t know the father of her baby and wow what a show
