- Theater Talk’s savvy panel of theater experts, Jesse Green of “New York” magazine, Michael Musto of “Musto! The Musical!” at Out.com, Patrick Pacheco of ArtInfo.com and Elisabeth Vincentelli of the “New York Post,” discuss the TONY® nominations, and forsee the winners on this incomparable annual predictions (and show clip-laden) special.
Taped: 05-15-15
Theater Talk is a series devoted to the world of the stage. It began on New York television in 1993 and is co-hosted by Michael Riedel (Broadway columnist for the New York Post) and series producer Susan Haskins.
The program is one of the few independent productions on PBS and now airs weekly on Thirteen/WNET in New York and WGBH in Boston. Now, CUNY TV offers New York City viewers additional opportunities to catch each week's show. (Of course, Theater Talk is no stranger to CUNY TV, since the show is taped here each week before its first airing on Thirteen/WNET.)
The series is produced by Theater Talk Productions, a not-for-profit corporation and is funded by contributions from private foundations and individuals, as well as The New York State Council on the Arts.

Loved this panel. Great commentary and banter.

Voters like Elisabeth is the reason the Tonys are way more prestigious than the Oscars. Higher standard of excellence in the Play categories.
Oh how I miss Theater Talk! It used to be my Friday night wind down, after Fashion Police of course.
Agreed. Miss this show so much!!!
I will point out that A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder did not have NEARLY as much commercial appeal as Aladdin and Beautiful, yet it won Best Musical. Fun Home is the show that deserves that Tony.
annnd I was right
Why? Because it has a child lesbian? Another awful score by Jennie Tessori. IMHO this was to make up for her loss for Caroline or Change. Another awful preachy show
That’s pretty obtuse. And no, that’s not why.
I'm always taken the considering the abysmal track record of this group that they continual bring back the same people. I'm also always dismayed by the complete lack of respect they treat Susan.
They seem to get so many predictions wrong here every year. More than most Tony predictors.
Elizabeth Vincentcelli was right Fun Home had a beige score. It only won because the large gay block voted it in. Something Rotten was tuneful and clever
funny how their predictions are so inacurrate.
No word for On the Town?
My GOD what a collection of underachieving little nobodies compared to the creative people they're cheerfully ripping apart!
you guys were all too cynical about fun home not winning!

Queue the xenophobic comments and the disrespectful attitude
It's sad how unabashedly wrong they were.
