Great haul!! If the bottom of the scale is red do a test of nail polish remover or alcohol there to see how it affects the red paint if any. Maybe sand lightly on top of the geese design only in case they put a sealer on top of the design before using nail polish remover with a q-tip. Hopefully it’s acrylic paint.
Awesome haul! I had those door knobs in my bedroom growing up, well all the doors had them in our home. My mom and dad still have them, never changed them!!!! Love it!!!!!

Thank you! I always share my booth when I tweak it or redo it which is weekly. I seriously doubt we plant tomatoes this year. We just don’t have the right area for them. They burn up in our heat.😬

Great thrift haul. I got to say I love the scale but not the ducks. They might be some decals used for ceramics..maybe try sanding them off or scraping off and then repainting it. ❤😊

My house is built in 1939 and I found the perfect crystal door knobs for my two closets I got them both for five dollars and they were vintage. I thought you would enjoy that❤

Love the doorknobs!! Love the wooden reindeer plate!! Going out shortly. Gotta redo my drivers license for real ID in case we need to fly to our daughter… if hubby’s eye is healed good .. long story. License not do to renew but that’s my reasoning. Next time they’ll do eye exam there. Crazy. But after going to see if hobby lobby has anything at 90% off. I’m sure not. And gonna go by goodwill .. as you said just have that feeling. Plus preparing for whatever weather is getting ready to hit KY in the coming days.

I have 4 of the glass crystal door knobs with the rod that goes between them. I have displayed them in a clear bowl, also on top of books. I love them. They are hard to find. My greatest thrift find in the last few days is a small clock. I went to the local consignment store a few days ago and bought a few little things. I paid and was headed to the door when I spied a small clock that would go perfectly on the top shelf of my bookcase. When I went to pay it was 80% off. I paid 65 cents!!! Score!!!
Good morning Donna, good finds our goodwill has been packed, but not finding anything I just need right now. I would try some warm water and vinegar to remove the painted geese on scale. I had luck with this method on a vase. Happy New Year!

Wow Donna, you have a terrific haul. I love that sewing machine clock, I’ve never seen one like that but it’s so cute! You could paint just the geese and heart with a black or darker color on the scale then put red on top again or put a rub on transfer or decoupage it. Love it! Hi Donna, I love this haul. The little glass jar with the lid is a jam/jelly jar. The spoons for them are short and cute. They were meant for a pretty table when people never put a jelly jar out for company. According to my beautiful grandma! And condiments were also put in pretty containers! But, your scale is awesome! I would keep the red, but sand the ducks and paint them out in squares so you don't have to hide. And even put your wax on too! I LOVE it!

It was made by Anchor Hocking and is “Boopie” pattern or also Berwick pattern (with the round balls for decoration. Love, love the red scale. Also, I would look closer at your other Shannon clock to see if it would pop out of the glass so you could change the battery also. Godin gear is a good name brand for quality silver items. The sewing machine would look good in your laundry room. This is off subject but it hit the brain. I think this spring you would enjoy solar lanterns hanging on hooks around your privacy fence. You and James spend a lot of time on your back porch. I love lights. My son was telling me Christmas, Mom you’ve got a thing for lights and I had to admit yelp I do. Great haul Donna! I also thrifted one of those wire cage looking urn planters, but I put one of those plug in candles with the silicone bulb in it, then used a greenery napkin ring as a candle ring. I love it and leave it on 24/7! I hope you and James and of course Buster have a blessed New Year!🎉😊
Good morning sweet friend & Buster!😊 We're leaving to go back to Florida tomorrow so I'm going to run to my fav thrift store today. I asked find good things there.. decor & clothing for the kids! If for some reason I don't, its OK. We went to my husbands aunts house that passed last month, they were selling everything that her kids didn't want & I got quite a few nice pieces, but they just gave them to me, which was super nice of them. Girl you should see the hutch my MIL was given! Its an antique & has a flour bin made into the top shelf with a sifter made under the shelf! Its awesome! I've never seen one like it, it was their grandmothers. Your good luck streak has been amazing! I'm claiming its going to last throughout the year!😁 Now if my furniture thrifting streak will go as well!🙏🏻 The brass plates you were looking at..I have a couple of those. I don't always like the pictures on them but the 2 I have I really like the pictures on them. There was A box of junk at my husbands aunts that had 5 or 6 of the little brass stands for pictures & i forgot to go back & pick them up & put in my tote😑 They would have been perfect for those brass tray/pictures! It would be so cool if i could find some of the ornaments i want for next years tree at the thrift store today! Honey if you feel the Lord is going to show up & show out, then i stand in agreement with you sister!🙌🏻 He's already showed up & out for us, and I'm looking forward for that to continue into these next months as we make this move & start our lives in our new (to us) home! I'm just ready for these next few weeks to get on by so we can get started!😁 I've def got to find me some cookbooks! I only have a couple.. I just didn't have anywhere to keep them in my little kitchen in TN! I would hope the house had more counter space, we'll get to go see it in 2wks, after the 15th! Oohhh girl! I've been looking for A table scale for awhile! I found the hanging one but i really want a table top one!! I'd def paint it, and probably distress it & maybe even add some wax.. unless you're putting it where the geese can't be seen, then I'd just leave it as is. That globe would make a pretty bell if you had 2 of them, nice shape for a bell! The oil lamp is so cute! You can find the little globes at junk stores & flea markets.. I'm looking for one for a lamp that's just a little bigger than that one, it has a purple base & so pretty💜 Love the swan, I'd hit it with the wax!😁 Lord girl that's the only bottles my mama used with me & my siblings! I looked it up, they didn't start making plastic ones til 1975..i was 11 by then😄 They do still make the glass ones, not just Evenflo, but other brands make them as well now. Lol I can see Cody doing that!😂 The sugar & creamer set is very pretty! I love the big wire piece..i think it originally held a large glass candle holder for the big candles. But I sure will be beautiful with a large battery candle & greenery!! Oh my goodness! My MIL has been a seamstress for over 50yrs & owned her own alteration shop here. She just retired in 2023. But she collected anything to do with sewing! That would be pretty over my antique black & gold machine, now that i have the table for it.. and a place for it!😁 Her sister that just passed worked for her..i got a cute wicker sewing basket with some vintage pieces in it! But mommy MIL got a little footstool type piece that you put sewing things in & a bigger basket that is covered in a beautiful fabric. Both baskets are vintage, hers is much older. I think it actually belonged to her mama. Put it in the laundry room!!😊 Ohh I love the wooden plate! Love the angel too! Your lucky streak needs to come my way! I've looked for the glass door knobs! Or any of the ceramic ones really. I want an old wood bowl full of them, its just pretty! I'm hoping the house we're moving into has some old charm inside..i hope its room to room & not open concept, but that's hard to find these days unless its old & hasn't been remodeled. @DelightfullySouthern I went to my fav thrift store that's in my hometown today. I was a little disappointed.. they've gotten high with thru prices on their older, vintage things. But they had this really old typewriter & it was amazing! The sides had this glass piece you could see the insides! It was a fancy one back in the day, but it was really old! I wish i had google lensed it 🤦♀️ But they wanted $60.. couldn't do it! They had several things I'd love to have but everything was $40-$60! Lol i got 2 frames, is was $3 & the other $2.50. The cheaper one Is super heavy, ready chunky & really heavy. I'm not sure but I think its pewter. I looked it up & its a wedding frame originally sold for $50, so i got a deal on that. I bout the kids a couple pieces of clothing & that was it.🤷♀️ Depending what time we leave tomorrow i want to hit the GW. Lol our car was packed coming & I'm not sure we can fit everything in😄 there's 3lg pictures my MIL gave me, a wooden stool that opens for storage & a couple other bigger size pieces. If i have to leave them I'm gonna be so bummed! I don't have a clue when we'll get back with his new job title! Lordt the struggle is real!🤪😂

Great thrift haul. I got to say I love the scale but not the ducks. They might be some decals used for ceramics..maybe try sanding them off or scraping off and then repainting it. ❤😊

My house is built in 1939 and I found the perfect crystal door knobs for my two closets I got them both for five dollars and they were vintage. I thought you would enjoy that❤

Going out shortly. Gotta redo my drivers license for real ID in case we need to fly to our daughter… if hubby’s eye is healed good .. long story. License not do to renew but that’s my reasoning. Next time they’ll do eye exam there. Crazy.
But after going to see if hobby lobby has anything at 90% off. I’m sure not. And gonna go by goodwill .. as you said just have that feeling.

Great haul!! I can't believe you're going to put that reindeer plate in the booth. It would be beautiful as the background of a wreath. Love the oil lamp, door knobs. Great haul Donna! I’ve been wanting to let you know how the Caramel Pie came out but my in-laws brought COVID to Christmas and I’ve been sick. My apologies for the delay. The pie was fantastic!! I have the sewing machine clock, it has a scissor pendalem. The basket urn, you could turn upside down style inside aka chickens... and then use it as a riser

I have 4 of the glass crystal door knobs with the rod that goes between them. I have displayed them in a clear bowl, also on top of books. I love them. They are hard to find. I like the clear sugar dish. I would use it to put jelly in when my family comes for breakfast. Have a great day and I look forward to a new year with my friend Donna.

My greatest thrift find in the last few days is a small clock. I went to the local consignment store a few days ago and bought a few little things. I paid and was headed to the door when I spied a small clock that would go perfectly on the top shelf of my bookcase. When I went to pay it was 80% off. I paid 65 cents!!! Score!!!

Good morning Donna, good finds our goodwill has been packed, but not finding anything I just need right now. I would try some warm water and vinegar to remove the painted geese on scale. I had luck with this method on a vase. Happy New Year!

You could paint just the geese and heart with a black or darker color on the scale then put red on top again or put a rub on transfer or decoupage it. Love it! Hi Donna, I love this haul. The little glass jar with the lid is a jam/jelly jar. The spoons for them are short and cute. They were meant for a pretty table when people never put a jelly jar out for company. According to my beautiful grandma! And condiments were also put in pretty containers! But, your scale is awesome! I would keep the red, but sand the ducks and paint them out in squares so you don't have to hide. And even put your wax on too! I LOVE it!

Your glass dish with lid is probably a jam jar or condiment jar. It was made by Anchor Hocking and is “Boopie” pattern or also Berwick pattern (with the round balls for decoration.

The sewing machine would look good in your laundry room. This is off subject but it hit the brain. I think this spring you would enjoy solar lanterns hanging on hooks around your privacy fence. You and James spend a lot of time on your back porch. I love lights. My son was telling me Christmas, Mom you’ve got a thing for lights and I had to admit yelp I do. You are on a roll girl at the thrift store.

Great haul Donna! I also thrifted one of those wire cage looking urn planters, but I put one of those plug in candles with the silicone bulb in it, then used a greenery napkin ring as a candle ring. I love it and leave it on 24/7! I hope you and James and of course Buster have a blessed New Year!🎉😊

Good morning sweet friend & Buster!😊 We're leaving to go back to Florida tomorrow so I'm going to run to my fav thrift store today. I asked find good things there.. decor & clothing for the kids! If for some reason I don't, its OK. We went to my husbands aunts house that passed last month, they were selling everything that her kids didn't want & I got quite a few nice pieces, but they just gave them to me, which was super nice of them. Girl you should see the hutch my MIL was given! Its an antique & has a flour bin made into the top shelf with a sifter made under the shelf! Its awesome! I've never seen one like it, it was their grandmothers. Your good luck streak has been amazing! I'm claiming its going to last throughout the year!😁 Now if my furniture thrifting streak will go as well!🙏🏻 The brass plates you were looking at..I have a couple of those. I don't always like the pictures on them but the 2 I have I really like the pictures on them. There was A box of junk at my husbands aunts that had 5 or 6 of the little brass stands for pictures & i forgot to go back & pick them up & put in my tote😑 They would have been perfect for those brass tray/pictures! It would be so cool if i could find some of the ornaments i want for next years tree at the thrift store today! Honey if you feel the Lord is going to show up & show out, then i stand in agreement with you sister!🙌🏻 He's already showed up & out for us, and I'm looking forward for that to continue into these next months as we make this move & start our lives in our new (to us) home! I'm just ready for these next few weeks to get on by so we can get started!😁 I've def got to find me some cookbooks! I only have a couple.. I just didn't have anywhere to keep them in my little kitchen in TN! I would hope the house had more counter space, we'll get to go see it in 2wks, after the 15th! Oohhh girl! I've been looking for A table scale for awhile! I found the hanging one but i really want a table top one!! I'd def paint it, and probably distress it & maybe even add some wax.. unless you're putting it where the geese can't be seen, then I'd just leave it as is. That globe would make a pretty bell if you had 2 of them, nice shape for a bell! The oil lamp is so cute! You can find the little globes at junk stores & flea markets.. I'm looking for one for a lamp that's just a little bigger than that one, it has a purple base & so pretty💜 Love the swan, I'd hit it with the wax!😁 Lord girl that's the only bottles my mama used with me & my siblings! I looked it up, they didn't start making plastic ones til 1975..i was 11 by then😄 They do still make the glass ones, not just Evenflo, but other brands make them as well now. Lol I can see Cody doing that!😂 The sugar & creamer set is very pretty! I love the big wire piece..i think it originally held a large glass candle holder for the big candles. But I sure will be beautiful with a large battery candle & greenery!! Oh my goodness! My MIL has been a seamstress for over 50yrs & owned her own alteration shop here. She just retired in 2023. But she collected anything to do with sewing! That would be pretty over my antique black & gold machine, now that i have the table for it.. and a place for it!😁 Her sister that just passed worked for her..i got a cute wicker sewing basket with some vintage pieces in it! But mommy MIL got a little footstool type piece that you put sewing things in & a bigger basket that is covered in a beautiful fabric. Both baskets are vintage, hers is much older. I think it actually belonged to her mama. Put it in the laundry room!!😊 Ohh I love the wooden plate! Love the angel too! Your lucky streak needs to come my way! I've looked for the glass door knobs! Or any of the ceramic ones really. I want an old wood bowl full of them, its just pretty! I'm hoping the house we're moving into has some old charm inside..i hope its room to room & not open concept, but that's hard to find these days unless its old & hasn't been remodeled. @DelightfullySouthern I went to my fav thrift store that's in my hometown today. I was a little disappointed.. they've gotten high with thru prices on their older, vintage things. But they had this really old typewriter & it was amazing! The sides had this glass piece you could see the insides! It was a fancy one back in the day, but it was really old! I wish i had google lensed it 🤦♀️ But they wanted $60.. couldn't do it! They had several things I'd love to have but everything was $40-$60! Lol i got 2 frames, is was $3 & the other $2.50. The cheaper one Is super heavy, ready chunky & really heavy. I'm not sure but I think its pewter. I looked it up & its a wedding frame originally sold for $50, so i got a deal on that. I bout the kids a couple pieces of clothing & that was it.🤷♀️ Depending what time we leave tomorrow i want to hit the GW. Lol our car was packed coming & I'm not sure we can fit everything in😄 there's 3lg pictures my MIL gave me, a wooden stool that opens for storage & a couple other bigger size pieces. If i have to leave them I'm gonna be so bummed! I don't have a clue when we'll get back with his new job title! Lordt the struggle is real!🤪😂

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wow, you are starting off good with your hauls. The glass jar with the top my grandmother had one looked like carnival glass. She said it was a jelly server. They used to make their homemade jellies & jams, didn't want to set the jar on the table. She had a silver spoon in hers. Looking forward to the new adventures in2025! Hugs & Love...
