Great review! As a hiker's tip, if you put some paper towel around the gas canister, it stops it rattling around inside the pot so much when walking - and is handy for tinder or spills!
looks a great bit of kit Dan, thanks for the review. The only thing stopping me from getting one, or any other JetBoil type device is the noise! they are sooooo noisy. I know most gas burners are. Because I tend to bushcraft and/or kayak camp, I'm not normally in a rush to to boil a brew. Two mins or 6 mins, I'd rather take the 6 and have it quieter. Great review though. I still might get one for car camping use. Thanks Dan. Paul
Looks a good bit of kit mate, good little cook set, I could do with one of them gas canister stands for when I use my gas stove. Good review mate it boils really quick, take care, ATB 👍
Hello, I was hoping you can let me know if I can use Fire-Maple Z1 LPG Propane Canister Adapter with the Fire Maple X2 stove so i can use Propane fuel instead? I use a Mr. Buddy heat during the winter and like to use the same type of fuel. Car camping so weight is not an issue for me. thanks in advance for anyone's help on this matter. and it someone already asked and commented on this topic sorry, I must have missed it. and advice will be helpful...thanks :)
Do you know if the jetboil silicone french press is compatible with this, I have this stove and know that the you can take the lid holder off, just looking for a coffee press for this outfit. 🏴✌️
Are you able to store the stove and the gas bottle still connected inside the pot so you don't have to disconnect each time you use it and pack it away?
it's well made just like MSR and Jetboil, but it's significantly slower to boil 1 full liter of water, mine takes 5.5 min, and my MSR Reactor takes 3.5 min to do the same job, but then the Reactor is $250 USD and the Fire Maple is $65 USD.
Good review. Stateside, we have a Walmart alternative called the Stryker that is half the price of a Jetboil. However, these things (including the jetboil) are big. Can't use it hiking. Too bulky for motorcycle touring. Overlanding, you would have a real stove or flat top. So, where do you use something this big? Car tent camping???
Thanks! Nice review. I wanted to buy one for each car for emergencies, and gift a few to adult nephews for hiking and camping.

Thanks bud, good tip, probably handy to ensure it’s dry when putting it away too 👍
What makes this a winner for me is the adapter to allow use of other pots/pans if you want, very versatile.
Jetboils are a ridiculous price and im glad you've shown us a decent alternative . Many thanks
There are a few cheaper alternatives, they’re not bad at all 👍
I like Fire Maple, they have great products. Thanks for the review Dan, it's awesome.
Thanks bud 👍

Yeah they’re noisy and I wouldn’t take it in the forests, but for backpacking trips they’re decent 👍
Ty my son in boyscout and they said get a jetboil wow the price. I will get this one. We dont have ton of cash. Ty so much
no problem Peter.
Thank you for the video, I just can't justify spending $200 on a Jetboil, I will be getting the X2.
I know what you mean : )
Nice stove Dan thanks for the review. 👍
You are welcome 👍

Great work on video mate greetings from spain 👍👍👍
Thanks Dean.
Greetings! 😁
Great review Dan, it's definitely made me more likely to buy one for backpacking 👍
Cheers Steve, yeah they’re good for that 👍
Looks good dan, I have a similar one from alpkit, they are very efficient! Thanks for sharing mate
Ash
Yeah they’re pretty decent for hiking trips imo
Great review my friend , still love my jetboil 😉👍👍

Thanks for the video, cant you simmer from the stove or is it just full on/off. Thanks
You can simmer, controlling the heat is a twist of the knob 👍
Hello, what kind of coffee do you use?
Do you know if the jetboil silicone french press is compatible with this, I have this stove and know that the you can take the lid holder off, just looking for a coffee press for this outfit. 🏴✌️
I’m sorry I don’t know 🤷♂️
Nice job mate!
Thanks 🙏
What is up my brother from South Korea 🇰🇷 wow
😁👍
What gas canisters are compatible with it?
Are you able to store the stove and the gas bottle still connected inside the pot so you don't have to disconnect each time you use it and pack it away?
No you have to separate the parts to fit it in 👍
Nice review Dan I love mine but I like your pot stand its much better mate stay safe atvb Jimmy 😎😎
Thanks Jimmy 👍
Good review. Kind of like comparing bush buddys with other quality twig stoves. You’re paying for the name with jetboil

Thank you for keeping your review short...could’ve gone without a few bits, but quite to the point.👍🏽
stand for pans is good. Jetboil you have to pay extra for it and I don't think it will store away in the pot
That’s interesting, I’d have thought they would be the same size
Dan ,is this a older video ? Because I think I heard a plane fly over lol!
Kenneth Walker haha, no I think it was a motorbike
@@CampLifeBushcraft Haha ok!!
Nice one. 💖💯😎👍👍✌🏻

Main thing I am interested in is the BAD stuff.
A very good review Dan. Even though they are a one trick pony, what they do they seem to do very well.
I agree, it’s got limited application but it’s good at what it does 👍
Will check it out
