Hello Winne Clement, thank you for these tutorials. The good and, at the same time, the sad fact about your tutorials is that the best and only lessons about the Romanian caval are made by a foreigner. Good work! PS: That's a very nice "piece" you have here.
Hi Winne, I started learning the basics of woodwind instruments with a Recorder but I am aiming for the Romanian Caval. After finding your channel I immediately subscribed and decided to buy one. Can you please tell me the wood and scale of the instrument you are using in this video? I also like it's clean look, beautiful piece you got there. Thank you, looking forward for more folk songs tutorial for the Romanian Caval. Best regards! Daniel
Hi Winne, and thank you for your lessons. I have a problem though, I tend to overblow it at the last note - in the sense that the last note (with all holes covered) is higher than the previous one. Do you blow a little slower at that point, or you blow perfectly constant? I am trying to do the 'V', as you said in another clip.
Hey Winne! I'm from Romania, congratulations, it is nice to see other nations playing "doine" on Romanian caval with such pleasure!
Im glad to see someone playing on a Romanian Kaval , cheers!
For anyone that wishes to check the whole tune out,it's called "Hora din caval"by Fratii Cazanoi, you'll thank me later!
Ha yes it is :-) thanks for letting us know. I am actually breaking it up over a couple of "lessons" so people can learn - cheers!
