- "They Can't Take That Away from Me," written in 1937 by George and Ira Gershwin & first introduced by Fred Astaire in the 1937 film Shall We Dance, was recorded by Frank Sinatra on November 5, 1953. The song, which was arranged by George Siravo, was included on Sinatra’s debut album on Capitol Recordings, Songs for Young Lovers, released in February 1954. He was to record the song again for his 1962 album, Sinatra and Swingin' Brass. This 1953 recording clearly shows Frank Sinatra moving in new direction away from his prior Columbia recordings.
Frank: A songwriter’s dream come true. A listener’s delight!So smooth and effortless! 🙌🤍
Franky boy once ruled the world, everyone talked about him.
Now
nobody knows him, who or what he was, or even the name of a single song he sang...
The moral of the story...
life if for the living because once you're gone people forget you so quickly.
Sensational, catman! This version might well be described as definitive. Frank was truly in top form here. Keep up the great work!
Fabulous arrangement.
I love Frank s songs and he had a good voice
Well first…it’s Frank! What a crooner! Next, he speaks about this love in such a way that isn’t sad. It’s more like delightful remonition. As though she tickles the back of his brain. Lovely!
Great song from a great album! Sinatra at his vocal prime!
So many stories locked away....
fantastique merci

Worst song on the album imo
