FIRST DETAIL IN 20 YEARS! Satisfying Transformation & Interior Deep Clean
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 жов 2024
- Today we’re detailing and deep cleaning the interior of a Filthy 1994 Chevy Silverado. With a focus on the floors today, this truck has been a dust collector and created a fungal odor on the interior from minimal use. This vehicle and video leave us with a very satisfying transformation and I will be showing all of my steps on how I achieve a fully detailed interior.

@@velabela7634 yep i agree too!
My daughters car is a 2009 Nissan Altima and it could use your detail skills! How do I reach you?
Bobby Molina you can DM me on Instagram @ chris_details or email chrisdetails93@yahoo.com with pictures of the car please!
What pressure washer and vacuum do you use ?
love that the music is lowered so that you can hear the sounds of the tools 🙂
Thank you 😊
i’ve been watching the detail geek for a very very long time so i’ve wanted to watch other detailers just to see different interpretations and cleaning styles. i really like yours!
Hey thank you!
I also watch detail Geek love the whole set up he has but love these videos also Chris
This is one of the best details video's I've watched! No annoying dance music, awesome camera position. Definitely a fan!
Thank you so much!
I hate that dance music that other detailers have too. Complete turn off for me. I give a thumbs down when they have it
@@joesmythe8008 Aw.. I feel too bad about giving people a thumbs down unless their video is extremely horrible lol
It's comforting to watch a detailer getting better after every video. It show's you true to your trade
Thanks for watching my videos! More on the way!
Love the calm music and the sounds of the vacuum soo relaxing
Thanks a lot! More to come!
I think cleaning the pedals is a must. Something that will always be noticed
I love the old school trucks being detailed
Thanks for watching!
Great job man! New subscriber as of today! Everybody’s on here talking about the Detail Geek (no doubt one of the most famous, as well as amazing, detailer), but you do you. Don’t try to be a repeat of somebody else. There’s enough of that crap out on the internet already. Put your own twist to it. You’ll always have people on one side or the other. Listen to your supporters and give them the best you can and keep up the hard and good work! Drink some water in that heat too! Good Lord!
I appreciate that! Yes lotssss of water lol
Easily a 200$+ detail! I detail too! I charge 115 for hand wash & dry, tires and wheel wells and wheels, vacuum, clean dash & console, windows, door jambs, shampoo and steam clean! I feel like I’m underpriced for everything I do! I wish more detailers would talk about their price too!! So I can compare and figure out what a good price is lol love your work and videos btw!! I never miss a vid 🙌🏾❤️
Hey thank you for watching and commenting again! That’s a good deal you have and for sure it feels like you should be paid more always lol. I like charging based on the job I don’t have packages set up. For me personally I’d rather take some money and get paid than nothing at all cause not everyone will follow thru to pay (200+). I think working with people and broadening your network has great value. All profit is good to me even if my work is ‘worth’ more. I can’t speak for everyone as a lot of people solely rely on this as their income. Hope this helps, thanks again!
@HER details my company varies by the job and package that people want but we also have custom options available. So my range is anywhere from $30-$260 depending on what is wanted and also can go up depending on the amount of chemical and the hours put in. I used to have just flat rates but not every job takes 2-4 hours, I recently had one that took 3 days to complete because the vehicle was just that bad. It was a 2014 GMC Acadia and a total disaster inside and out, it's actually belonging to a mechanic and so it hauls everything from his two boys to old parts new parts, and various greases, but was definately worth it after finished. I have another Tuesday that will also be quite a process to finish. Ill be starting a Channel for the business soon so stay tuned, also it's refreshing to see more females getting into the business!
Good for you! I'm starting to detail, too....a guys world, but I like cleaning and it is very satisfying to see the transformations! Best of luck.
I fkin love how much u vacuum lol like u literally get EVERYTHING
For some tips on helping you go faster... get magic erasers for the textured plastic and steering wheel. You can find the cheap ones at the dollar store and they are AMAZING! Awesome job!!!
This!!
Thank you! Yeah I have magic erasers, didnt think to use them on the steering wheel really but worth a shot! Sometimes I just get in a groove with what I have next to me haha ill keep that in mind
Great transformation looks great let us know about chemicals and supplies you use it will be very interesting
This video was amazing I love watching new detailers I started off only watching The Detail Geek and then found more and now I found your amazing videos!! Can’t wait to watch more😀❤️💛
Thank you so much! More to come!
You can tell how back in the day they used quality materials when making cars/trucks, that carpet looks new again, on a car made today, you won’t get the same results cause material quality has gone down, that why I love watching these older cars/trucks get detailed cause the results are amazing. Great work on that detail 👍🏼💯
Thanks a lot man! Thats a good point you bring up, cleaning cheap ass carpet is the worst lol!
Tell that to my 97 dodge dually! I’m in the process of giving this truck some very much needed TLC! Hell she even got a new grill and A/C condenser+ charge( blows super cold)
Currently working on carpet and patching massive holes in seats.
Will be moving on to degreasing the engine bay in preparation for rebuilding the leaking hydroboost which while being a part of the braking system actually uses power steering fluid.
That’s going to be fun! It’s been leaking slowly for months. Huge mess is a understatement!
Finally the actual Noises TY 👍
Youre welcome! I enjoy them too lol
Watched the entire video. What a difference. At this point in my life I’d rather have my car detailed than do it myself.
Thank you for watching!
Vehicles like this one are the exact reason that I bought a steamer. Cuts my detail times down significantly.
for cleaning the filter on your vacuum have you ever thought of using a paint brush I use it on the one that I have it works a lot better and it takes a lot more dirt and hair out of the filter
That’s a good idea!
@@chrisdetails3995 i use a fork (for the vacuum only, not eating!) :)
Rachael Sutherland haha!
Compressed air if you have it.
No idea why this was on my recommendations....but, worth watching. Shows there's some hope for my poor old 2003 Danger Ranger. Hard off-road truck and was last detailed in 2012...
Lol thanks for watching! There’s always hope 😂 feel free to see some of the other nasty cars I’ve detailed!
love these videos lately!!! amazing job🤩
Thank you so much!
Personally, the 88-94 interior on these trucks fit the look of the bodystyle so much better than the 95+. Glad to finally see somebody detail one of these!
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching!
Thank God..ugh I needed some fresh air after all this sadness....

I support the effort and time to put in towards helping others only tip I could give is taking those extra extraction pulls just to get the harder to reach areas just to guarantee future higher cost vehicles and better paying customers like I said great work but be very spot on and it will surprise you at the finish difference
Thanks for watching man I’ll keep that in mind!

Great work 👌🏾. You should invest in a steamer if you haven’t already. Spray some APC and steam, it makes the gunk easier to remove on the plastic.
You do great work. Glad to see so much talent in our industry!
Got that Chevy looking good again
Thanks man!
The mellow music is great. I really enjoy car detailing vids, but can't deal with the party beats on most!🙉
Thanks a lot! I thought id switch it up 👍
I usually watch The Detail Geek, but now I’m thinking how underrated you are for such a good detailing in cars! You deserve millions! ☺️😊
Edit: I also like how you clean the filter of the vacuum afterwards!
Thanks a lot! I try to bring my own style for my videos
a suggestion to make your job easier, a steam cleaner, it will help in getting in those tiny spaces and it will "melt" dirt away
You did a really great job! 🙂
Thank you!
Great video👍🏼. You should consider a steamer to really get into those tight spaces or to get rid of stubborn stains.
Thank you for watching!
1:41 looks like the driver seat took a lot of butt bombs over the years or the owner was hungry because this seats look they see better days 🤪😵😬
Haha! Yeah these seats have seen better days no doubt
Great job Chris! Really enjoy watching your videos. Keep making them and I will keep watching them.
More to come! Thanks a lot!
Those seat fabrics look really satisfying to work with. I love doing older cars because the fabrics are so much higher quality than today’s vehicles.
Right! And working on cheap carpet sucks haha
Chris Details oh yeah! Cheap carpets are terrible! I call them impossible carpets because they’re so difficult to see where you’ve actually made a difference?
Jared Ostler right smh
I've been a huge fan of the detail geek as well. I've watched others detail that we're kind of just like mehhh. I really liked watching this video! Great job! Im definitely subscribing. Keep up the awesome work! 💙💜💙
Thanks a lot I’m doing my best to put out good content!
I enjoy doing it myself DIY. It sure take away to do a great job its not just wash and go. Those of you who do this for a living you are amazing.
Hey thanks for watching man!
3 x booms so far , I always like to do my own car as I've had 2 not so good experiences when having my car valeted. However i must say I watch your videos and you do a great job.
Oh my, truly magical what you were able to accomplish with this truck. Hope Mr. Ayden is well. See you in the next video! 🖤
Thank you we appreciate you watching!
Show before and after shots after you clean the part like the carpets right away
Never watched detailing videos, but came across your channel and definitely sticking around! Keep up the good work! 🤘🏻
Thanks for watching man I appreciate that!
You brought that up well inside considering it’s age. The seats are wear & tear rather than neglect. I recently saw a two year old, high end SUV ten times worse than this where the kids (and parents) had trashed it. Literally used it like a trash can! I love detailing videos. 👍
Thank you for watching 😊
Love the video! New subscriber. May I suggest investing in a steam cleaner? Makes cleaning hard surfaces so much quicker!
Thanks for watching and subscribing! 😁 I use one sometimes if you’d like to check out my other videos 😊
Holy cow those carpet transformations!! The water was like black!
Gross right lol
Bro you do a great Job!!!
Ninos!!!!!
Good before and after shots
Thank you for watching!
Great video and amazing work
Thank you!
Imagine cleaning cars for a living .... every single day.... i so don't envy you pal :D
Lol man I do like 2 a week! It’s a side hustle for me I couldn’t do it every day either 😂
Awesome Awesome Awesome indeed Chris
Thanks again for watching!
@@chrisdetails3995 How are you doing Chris? What extractor to you use and vacuum?
Todd Armour I’m good man! I use a Sandia 3 gallon and a rigid vacuum
@@chrisdetails3995 Thanks young Sir
next video you should put what kind of tools and cleaners you use
You should check out a dust stopper for the shop vac. Got one a few months back and haven't had to clean or change my filter.
Good idea! Thanks for watching
Truck came out looking great. Wonder if you considered maybe an ozone for a few minutes to get the “smell” out before cleaning if that would help? Also, same thing about maybe a steamer to help clean out some of those tough areas (center, dash, etc.)? May save some time? But still, great results!! 👍
Hey thank you! Yeah I have a steamer I just didn’t think it was necessary to fill and heat up since I only would’ve used it a little bit
I watch detail videos like yours so I can do them myself to my car haha I feel super satisfied when my car is crazy clean It’s a satisfying feeling you know? Great vid btw
Hey thanks! Yeah it’s a good feeling lol more to come!
I'm in independence Missouri and my company charges $80 for this type of detail but we offer many different packages ranging from $30-$260 depending on the customers specific wants and needs and the amount of time and chemicals used
I just found your channel after watching other detailers on UA-cam. You did an amazing job on the truck! The carpets and the seats came out awesome! You look awesome! I could watch you all day. ;)
Thank you! 😊 more to come
As a professional detailer myself, you wouldn’t have to wrestle your filter in your shop vac if you just pop it off and clean it via shake off the dirt, use a bush to get off all the hair and debris, and then using an air hose (or dust can for computers) to blow out the rest of the debris. Just a little advice to make your life easier. Great video overall! ❤️
Thanks for watching man I appreciate it!
You should put your product’s In the Description great video
Thank you!
I want a scientific study as to why all the guys that do detailing are so attractive...
If you had a steam cleaner it would help get those hard to clean areas faster and easier. Like cup holders and the foot peddles door jams and vents.
I have a steam cleaner, wasn’t necessary for this car as it takes more time to fill and heat up than I would’ve used it for. I use it in other videos if you’d like to see, thanks for watching!
Very relaxing 😊 I do my own detail work on my cars. It's not quite 108 here in FL but the humidity is at 95% so walking outside is like walking into a sauna 🥵
Ugh! Lol thank you for watching!
so satisfying to watch, amazing job!
Thank you!
I used to work at billion Auto in Sioux City iowa as a auto detailer so I’ve learned how to clean my own car shampoo my carpets and wash it also so I save so much money doing this on my own love it plus I usually do this to my car once every three months
An incredible job! Just vacuuming made a difference!
You really transformed this vehicle. Too bad people do not make more of an effort to clean out their vehicle. Just a vacuuming can make a huge difference!
Glad the individual was smart enough to have that dash pad, highly recommend to put one on in any vehicle; significantly reduces reflection and saves the dash from cracking.
Stay safe, and keep up the good work!
Hey thanks man! Appreciate it
@@chrisdetails3995 You're welcome.!
Welcome back! 108 and still working hard... I’d be dying!! Although, I hear it’s much less humid there, so maybe 108 is not as bad as it is on the East Coast?
Lol I know nothing about the east coast weather 😂 but it’s 100% dry heat out here it’s hot as hell I have fans blowing in the garage all day lol thanks for watching!
Chris Details NJ is sundyish during the day and thunderstorms at night. For the past few days at least
It's humid.... Just got done sprinkling... Monsoon season is upon here
ca31 sounds nice
Chris Details ikr.
🌶🌶🌶🌶 HAD TO WATCH TWICE LOL - Your attention to "detail" is amazing.... Looking forward to the next one....🥕🥕🥕🥕
Lol thanks dude!!
I would suggest that you should try using the steamer when cleaning the petals its alot easier.
It’s not necessary to fill and heat up if I’m barely going to use it
@@chrisdetails3995 what do you mean barely fill and heat up
Not a complaint, but a question. I see so many using these steam cleaners and getting incredible results. Do you find the method you use to work better, or are you simply working with what you have?
I have a steam cleaner but I didn’t find it necessary for this one, hot water and extractor worked great. I could’ve used steamer for pedals and doors but I didn’t think it was worth filling and heating up for this job. Thanks for watching!
Love the brooms lol
Thanks 😂
Wow, another great channel about car detaling :) subscribed instantly.
Thank you! More to come!
You can screwed out the Filter from the Vac and cleaning wiht Wather .
Than dry overnight bevor you used him 👍🤗👍🤗
Sorry for my bad English 😇

Haha thank you! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
amazing what just a vacuuming can do!
Right! Lol
🌶🌶🌶 Can you show us more of the clear water in the extraction part in the future?
Will do
Great job as always man l, keep up the great work.
Thank you! Thanks for watching again!
Are the inside of the doors fabric, didn't you extract them after spraying, using the drill brush & wiping down? Apart from that it was almost as good as The Detail Geek, like someone else just said, it's nice to have the music low & the sound of the tools, I wish TDG would do that & your choice of music is better than his repetitive stuff, well done & what a dirty vehicle, outstanding results!
Thanks for watching man I appreciate it!
Great job - was hoping to see you hit that faded green exterior. Keep up the good work.
Thanks man! I thought about it but it would just be a wash like I can’t salvage that paint 😂
Can you do a video of you cleaning your vacuum? X
Your channel was recommended to me because I follow the Detail Geek. I’m sure you’ve been asked this a lot, but did you decide to start doing detailing from watching him too? I see a lot of similarities (not a bad thing) and was just wondering. I think he’s about the best out there but you are doing really well so far from what I’ve seen. I’ve bought a lot of the products he uses & I’ve started detailing my own vehicles too. I appreciate your hustle and really enjoy watching the both of you. I live in Glendale and feel so bad that you’re doing it in this heat. I hope you get successful enough to get a shop or an air conditioned garage soon. Keep up the good work man and you’ve got a new subscriber! Peace.
Hey thanks man! Im in Glendale as well. Honestly I can tolerate the heat as long as Im in the shade and I have blowers on haha. Ive been detailing as a hobby but him and Stauffer garage inspired me to make videos. Appreciate you watching!
You should use Steamers for projects like this cause they deep clean and also sterilises it properly
This was in my recommended videos cause I watch The Detail Geek, glad I watched it cause that was a great video, you brought that entire interior back to life. Subscribing.
Thanks a lot!
I like your videos champ but I just can’t get through it because of the focus changes all the time. Might need to visit the settings on your camera so it’s not changing focus all the time. Otherwise, great job 👍🏽
Thanks man, I’m learning how to use this camera equipment it’s definitely gonna be a top priority for me going forward 👍🏼
What extractor do you use?? It works great!
Sandia 3 gallon!
Nice pump sprayer, BTW!
It’s great lol
Good job.
Thank you!
Do it myself. But would like to start my own detailing business. Problem is our winters are brutal up here in Canada. Need to do some serious work on converting my garage. Love the video.
Hey thank you! Yeah weather is always a factor haha fortunately it’s just hot out here for a few months
I've got to ask: Was there actual carpet in the truck, or just carpet-shaped dirt?
Great video
Thanks!
Great Job Man.. I don't know how you stand that heat.. Guess you are used to it..I would have pools of water rolling off me. It get's hot here in VA and very humid but 108 degrees there is dry heat and I bet it is unbearable.. Hats off to you buddy and another great job.
Haha yeah get use to it to an extent! Lol as long as im in the shade and have blowers on I can bear it. I cant handle that humidity haha I appreciate you watching!
Im one whp watch and say nth .but yeah we like to see yall emptying the things
Thank you for watching!
@@chrisdetails3995 awesome ...much love from🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Holyshit! You know how to clean some f'n carpet, my guy!
Thanks man!
Mans had a hot cheetos girl in the passenger seat😂
😂😂
I dont have a broom but i do have 🌶
I would of charged 120 tbh.
Oh and i would invest in a wide angle lense so your extraction shots don't have a hard time focusing. Or if this is a tripod, stand it up higher
Thanks for watching! Yeah I’m gonna try some more angles, sometimes I’m torn if up close looks better so you can see more dirt but I’ll try some higher angles to help the focus. Thanks!
The problem is finding that one professional detailer who will actually do a great job. I paid a detailer once to do the works on my new low mileage used car which was relatively clean already and felt burned by his in attention to detail. He washed and wax alright but just alright. He made speed the priority
Ah that’s no good. Hope you find the right one! I’d take care of you if it was in Phoenix lol
Chris Details thanks, we need more detailers out there like u who have passion for the work that they do. Keep up the good work.
Love watching ya videos 🧹🧹🧹 🌶🌶🌶
I appreciate that 🙂
Great results thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Damn you need a hoover for your hoover lol 😂😂😂
right lmao
You need a steam cleaner, it’ll help you immensely. They’re good for all the little nooks and crannies, even the pedals
I have one. It’s not always necessary to use as it takes time to fill and heat up if I’m only going to use it a little bit. Check out my other videos you’ll see me use it 😁
Great video dude! Really nice shots of the detailing! One tip, I’m not a filming pro but is there any way you could turn off auto focus? That way the video can focus just on the shot and wont autofocus to your hands/tools every few seconds (like at the beginning of the vid). If you use an iphone, you just have to press and hold for a few seconds and it’ll tell you that focus is set
Hey thank you! Yeah I’m new to this camera stuff I’m trying to figure it all out lol
Chris Details You’re doing really awesome so far! I totally get it theres so many new things to learn with editing and cameras. Sometimes it’s minor details that can make your videos quite a bit better. Good luck with everything though and keep doin what you’re doin
Chris Details Also go to sleep dude its like 2 am 😆 jk jk
Sana Shakir haha I cant! I’m working on a car right now!
Crazy to think sode dirt and twigs in there are probably from the 90s
😂
