- Impulsive & coincidental thrifting trip to Plato's Closet 50% off sale!
We weren't even supposed to be here - We were heading over to Walmart (that's right down the parking lot from Plato's) when we, by chance, spotted the Clearance Sale sign outside the store. We decided to pop in super quick to find stuff for ourselves... Then we ended up with a huge haul to resell instead!
Before heading over to Walmart, we had visited THREE different Goodwill stores with only TWO finds. We were feeling unmotivated as we had spent HOURS thrifting with basically nothing to show for it. But this trip to Plato's 100% made up for it!

I have put Plato's and other local BST stores in my sourcing routes because I've found so many obscure and niche brands that they don't know so they price low. Has raised my ASP significantly! Great finds!!
That’s the way to do it!!! Knowledge is so valuable 👌
Make sure you sign up for the platos reward thingy, they will text you when they have the sale which happens like every 4-6 months or so. It goes 50% off then 2 weeks later, its 70% off then sometimes they do 1 dollar per item 4 weeks after the 50% off. Sometimes they dont do the dollar sale and instead donate whatever is left to the local thrifts.
OHHH YES 🤩 We definitely did! We got a $15 store credit from the purchase in the video. And we’ve already went back because of the text messages notifying a new sale. We’re definitely going to be waiting for that dollar sale 🤩🤩🤩

I just recently tried out Plato’s closet and love it! I didn’t hit a 50% off sale but still found a few pieces worth flipping. The prices were around $12-$14 per item and resold for $40-$50+😅. Always live your thrifting videos!!!

I go when they have a HUGE Plato’s sale, everything was $1. I got 2 Free People dresses, NWT rag and bone denim shorts and 2 NWT evening gowns. Sold them all

Wow you guys really cleaned up. Nice scores. My Plato’s would NEVER do half off the entire store. They occasionally do a 50% off clearance but the selection is always terrible. They sell a lot of Patagonia and Lululemon but most items are $45. I’ve also never found On Cloud clothing at the thrift store or Plato’s!
We’re still so hype over that haul! Since this video our Plato’s has restocked twice and done 2 more 50-75% off sales. And oh my $45 that’s kinda outrageous 🤯 the on cloud clothing was a first for us !
Literally came home from a random Plato stop to see this video. I shopped for myself and loved the selection and prices. I also found a Patagonia that I LOVE for only $12. Came home and realized it has a hole and bleach spots 🤦♀️no wonder it was so cheap. I still love it though, a few stitches and she'll be looking good ❤️

Awesome haul! I always find it so interesting that what is available to purchase from one Plato’s location to another varies so much. For sure, I don’t think much is worth the flip without the sale! But every plato’s is different so call to see if your plato’s has a sale 👌🏼

Honestly that's amazing , paying up may suck sometimes but at Plato's at least your pretty much guaranteed not to have stains or issues .

When I first started reselling in 2020 Platos was on my regular route. Yes most good shoes were $50-60 but back then you didn't have to pay Ebay fees on shoes over $100. And every couple of months they'd have a 50% off sale. But now I've noticed they charge more for shoes on a regular basis and on sale days they have people waiting outside at 4am. Clothes on the low end were $5-6 for a generic T-Shirt and $15-20 for a Hoodie or Jacket. I'm sure there's plenty of deals to be had especially if you can find some great Jordan's worth $150+ or a Vintage band T-Shirt but like you guys said at the beginning it isn't a great place to source on the regular.
We are literally dying for them to make down the shoes. Behind the counter they had plenty of on clouds, hokas, etc. We’ll be lined up early but not at no 4am🤣
We signed up for the text alerts for their sales and we’ve been back twice already and came out with a few items each time. We just love the quality items they have
@RadResells Yeah they definitely turn people away who have horrible quality items. And the wild thing is they offer lower prices for your stuff than the lowballers on Ebay offer. I've been in there since few times when someone brings in a trash bag of stuff they want and offer $5 for the whole bag. But quality is their thing.

Dang that’s terrible! Probably was just super picked over. At ours it was pretty much us and some teenagers 🤣

We definitely prioritize the clothing that needs to be listed for the next season coming up. Once that’s taken care of yes we’ll post everything else. We’ve had plenty of Hawaiian shirts sell this past winter. You never know what people are looking for!

Whoah that’s ridiculous… They did have $25-40 items but most were in the $15-30 range (before 50% off)
