I like the song but I'm struggling to wrap my head around it's meaning. It almost sounds like a guy saying "you think your happy but thats a lie cause your actually sad i know what that feels like as I'm permanently sad myself." And the girl responds with "you haven't the slightest clue what goes on in my head so i tell you what you want to hear."
