    I just did my move up for my 1 year anniversary. I have very thin and very fine hair. I decided about 2 years ago to try extensions and originally started with tape ins. Then I decided to switch to traditional sewn in extensions. I had a bad install which caused major damage and breakage and they were also really damaging my scalp. At that time I just happened to meet a stylist that said she had a method that wouldn’t damage my scalp or hair. I decided to give it a shot and I would never do anything other than IBE now. My hair and scalp are so healthy now, a year later. The initial cost for the hair was expensive but I’ve used the same hair for the whole year and it’s still in great shape The cost to move up the extensions is the same as I was paying for the old fashion method - so no added expense there. I have 1 row with 5 wefts. It definitely took a couple of weeks to get used to the weight but now I don’t notice it at all.
    The hair is so soft. It has great movement. I love the flexibility with styling. My natural hair wouldn’t hold a style and this hair does. I also use a considerable amount of heat and styling products and the hair is still in amazing condition!
    Side note- I’ve switched all my styling products to L’ange. Both my natural hair and the extensions are always shiny and soft.

    Your hair looks amazing! This video topic reminds me of a video I saw on The Clean Beauty Code where she talked about bespoke shampoo and conditioner she gets from a company that makes the products for her based on her exact hair concerns. For example, in winter she may choose a thicker conditioner because of cold exposure, etc. It was just a couple of videos back in maybe her monthly favorites in case you'd be interested in exploring those types of made for you products. Thanks for sharing.

      Initial installation + hair - $1000+, move ups are about $150+ per row.

    Hey is it important to blow dry the wefts after shower? Thank you :)

    • @Meg_O
      @Meg_O  2 роки тому

      Yes you want to make sure they're completely dry and you don't sleep on wet hair. I air dry a lot and then make sure to use a blow dryer!

      @@WhatASmileyFace You can completely air dry! Just want to make sure the top of the wefts are dry!

    I got the tape-in kind. I like them ok, but I was bummed out that the hairdresser cut the back of my hair to cover the top extensions. When I get the extensions removed, that make my real hair look funny as there is a "shelf" of shorter hair there. The hair she used looks dry and I was told that that is normal. I use sulfate-free products and heat protector too! Maybe it's the hard water that I use. I don't have a choice due to local mandates regarding the environment. Also, I cant wear my hair up without extensions showing. Just comparing and contrasting. Ty for the information!

      I forgot to add the price range for tape-ins for my thin hair. It was $300 for the cost of the hair itself and the initial installation. Every three months, it's about $175 for re-installation and any hair cutting or highlights. I had lost a lot of hair from medications and stress due to kidney failure and this was a way for me to feel more confident. I didn't want to waste my time crying and feeling ugly so I paid to fix the problem until my hair gets healthy again.

    If you’re the “only one” I feel like it’s the root sprays you’re using. Use a salon professional root spray 😊-hairstylist

    • @Meg_O
      @Meg_O  2 роки тому +1

      My stylist okayed the root sprays. I also don't understand on a basic chemistry level how an ashy brown pigment can turn a root brassy. How would that happen? It happened before I even applied any spray to it.
