@@itsdk5814 Splinter Cell Blacklist had an absolute ton of animations for takedowns both lethal and non-lethal, depending on position, enemy alert status, player movement, etc. If you search up "all Splinter Cell Blacklist takedowns" you can see the crazy variety. My biggest concern that’s been in all games, is stupid AI with stupid path finding if you make the fights difficult but fair this game will be amazing.

I'm a fan of the stealth genre, but I'd love to see an improvement in how weapons are carried. Specifically, could you guys fix the issue where they stick to the side of the backpack like magnets? Metal Gear Solid V is a great example of how to do this properly.
That’s a solid (pun intended) observation, and I completely agree. Weapons sticking to backpacks or characters like they’re magnetized can break immersion. It feels like a shortcut for animations rather than a deliberate design choice.

This technique carries the risk of being detected by nearby enemies, but depending on the situation, it can be very useful! Our goal is to allow players to use a variety of tactics! 😊

most of the environments are still graybox and there are no textures on anything so i'm gonna wager 2-3 years at least. art takes time and i assume the mechanics aren't done yet either, and then of course you have writing so all in all yeah i'd say 2-3 years

If this is what future SC games will play like, I will be angry. SC is supposed to be grounded stealth mixed with parkour. It's not supposed to be like Conviction or Blacklist. Make a Jason Bourne game if you want that crap. Keep SC out of it.

I would like it to prioritize the stealth element more and design the game's core mechanics accordingly. But my personal opinion. You may or may not agree: I would like a freer gameplay. If there is going to be a track in the game, I would like to create that track myself. I would like to pave my own way by using my own mind and strategy, not for the game to force me to follow its own path. I agree with most of your thoughts. This game may look very nice, but it does not reflect the quality of a splinter cell, it does not seem to give the necessary importance to stealth. Or at least that's what I understood from the video I watched. I don't know how it is when played...
@@etv-game , I definitely think the SC levels should be more open. I just hate the idea of it being an action shooter with the option to use stealth. I also don't like the takedown animations in this game for a SC game, as they would be very loud. However, if the enemies actually hear things, that could encourage players to not take out every enemy or, maybe, force them to be creative with taking them out (taking them simultaneously, separating them, etc.)

While watching the video, I thought to myself. If I played with these download animations, it would be really noisy. I would also like more realistic stealth and a more realistic AI in this regard. I think a real stealth game should be a game that we have to play very sensitively and carefully. Every step, every movement is important. and it should keep you away from getting into combat. It should encourage stealth. It is difficult to explain most things in writing. But I think we want the same things. In fact, as someone who is a little interested in game development, I may try to do a stealth-focused project one day. The best thing is to play one armed robber until the new splinter cell comes out :D

Celle où on voit une jeune femme déambuler en ville, qui présente différents effets comme la lumière et divers éléments qui mettent en place l'environnement. Pour ceux qui ont suivi depuis le début, on sait que cette jeune femme aura son importance. Alors j'ai une question assez simple... Est-ce qu'il est indispensable que ce personnage soit court-vêtue, dans une robe moulante ? Attention, je ne veux pas rentrer dans un débat woke/anti-woke, principalement parce que ce sont des discours qui m'agacent dans les formes qu'ils prennent. Non, non, ce que je me demande, d'un point de vue strictement character design, c'est si ce personnage doit forcément se définir par cette apparence vestimentaire là. Je serais curieux de savoir ce qu'en pense les jeunes femmes coréennes, en commençant par celles qui travaillent dans votre studio.

La jeune femme dans la vidéo s'appelle GAVI. Elle fait partie du groupe de K-pop "ORDO" dans l'histoire. Ce groupe est l'un des plus iconiques représentant la Corée, et elles se retrouvent impliquées dans un grand événement en raison des intentions de certaines personnes. Je ne peux pas entrer dans les détails, mais l'outfit de GAVI a été conçu sur la base des codes de mode des groupes de K-pop coréens. Si tu t'intéresses à la K-pop, je te conseille de jeter un œil aux tenues des groupes de filles de K-pop, cela pourrait t’inspirer. Je comprends l'intention derrière ta question, et je reconnais que c’est une question légitime. Je me concentre sur les personnages, les événements et les espaces qui reflètent de manière détaillée la culture coréenne dans l'histoire. I don't know if you guys will read this, but it would be nice if you included a tactical\ Realism mode that doesn't have the scan and stealth indicator mechanics, just let us go in blind like the old 1998 Thief games.

Haha, is that so? That scene is actually where the character performs a takedown on an enemy at a bit of a distance. This technique carries the risk of being detected by nearby enemies, but depending on the situation, it can be very useful! Our goal is to allow players to use a variety of tactics! 😊

Texture work and prettifying everything comes when they're close to having the game finished. Having your graphics done before your gameplay systems is a bad sign.

most of the environments are still graybox and there are no textures on anything so i'm gonna wager 2-3 years at least. art takes time and i assume the mechanics aren't done yet either, and then of course you have writing so all in all yeah i'd say 2-3 years

I would like it to prioritize the stealth element more and design the game's core mechanics accordingly. But my personal opinion. You may or may not agree: I would like a freer gameplay. If there is going to be a track in the game, I would like to create that track myself. I would like to pave my own way by using my own mind and strategy, not for the game to force me to follow its own path. I agree with most of your thoughts. This game may look very nice, but it does not reflect the quality of a splinter cell, it does not seem to give the necessary importance to stealth. Or at least that's what I understood from the video I watched. I don't know how it is when played...

@@etv-game , I definitely think the SC levels should be more open. I just hate the idea of it being an action shooter with the option to use stealth. I also don't like the takedown animations in this game for a SC game, as they would be very loud. However, if the enemies actually hear things, that could encourage players to not take out every enemy or, maybe, force them to be creative with taking them out (taking them simultaneously, separating them, etc.)

Celle où on voit une jeune femme déambuler en ville, qui présente différents effets comme la lumière et divers éléments qui mettent en place l'environnement.
Pour ceux qui ont suivi depuis le début, on sait que cette jeune femme aura son importance.
Alors j'ai une question assez simple...
Est-ce qu'il est indispensable que ce personnage soit court-vêtue, dans une robe moulante ?
Attention, je ne veux pas rentrer dans un débat woke/anti-woke, principalement parce que ce sont des discours qui m'agacent dans les formes qu'ils prennent.
Non, non, ce que je me demande, d'un point de vue strictement character design, c'est si ce personnage doit forcément se définir par cette apparence vestimentaire là.
Je serais curieux de savoir ce qu'en pense les jeunes femmes coréennes, en commençant par celles qui travaillent dans votre studio.
It doesn't seem like the kind of dress you'd take a walk through the city in, more like a cocktail party where you aren't moving too fast and the guests are known. Practically speaking you'd wear something a little longer, and flexible.

Comme tu l’as mentionné, je vais répondre à ta question du point de vue purement du design de personnage. La jeune femme dans la vidéo s'appelle GAVI. Elle fait partie du groupe de K-pop "ORDO" dans l'histoire. Ce groupe est l'un des plus iconiques représentant la Corée, et elles se retrouvent impliquées dans un grand événement en raison des intentions de certaines personnes.
Je ne peux pas entrer dans les détails, mais l'outfit de GAVI a été conçu sur la base des codes de mode des groupes de K-pop coréens. Si tu t'intéresses à la K-pop, je te conseille de jeter un œil aux tenues des groupes de filles de K-pop, cela pourrait t’inspirer.
Je comprends l'intention derrière ta question, et je reconnais que c’est une question légitime. Je me concentre sur les personnages, les événements et les espaces qui reflètent de manière détaillée la culture coréenne dans l'histoire.
