HI ! Thanks for these videos, they're super helpful. Just wanted to ask how long before the course started did you get the preparatory tasks? I just wanted to know how long you get to read them before the course starts.
I think they sent us the work about a month before the course started and it took maybe 10 hrs? (although I can't remember exactly!!) it honestly took me ages to do textbook reading when I first started the course, I can do it WAY faster now! it's up to you how much time you spend on it really tho. Personally I found it useful because I knew nothing about the English legal system and it was helpful for when we covered similar topics later on but I know some people were working/busy and didn't have time to get through it before the start of the course
How did you apply for Law school? I do not live in UK so I do not know about their law. I am graduating this year with English Language and Literature degree, but I do not want to became a teacher etc. I want to pursue law but I do not know how
In the UK it is possible to get a qualification in law as a postgraduate in less time than it would take as an undergraduate. It's called a 'law conversion course' and you can either take the PGDL (a Postgraduate Diploma in Law) or an MA Law course which is the same core modules with an additional test or dissertation so it becomes a masters degree (what I'm doing). This means you can go on to take the exams to become a solicitor or a barrister. I'm not sure how it works outside of the UK though!
I thought I'd give you a run down on how my course works! This video was filmed last week so I've officially started my course now 😁
Thinking of doing this course myself and so this series is very helpful. Thanks!
lemme know if you have any specific questions!

Law after literature?
Why don't you pursue Masters in literature?
I've studied literature for years so I wanted to try something new! plus I'd like to train to be a solicitor so this is the next step towards that :)
