I used to work in disability services and commes people would make about clients when walking down the street at the shops is disgusting. So what aere you personally doing to remove the stigma to avoid another tragedy like this in the future? So far you are just creating perfect conditions for it to happen again. • @michaelhorne8366
      @michaelhorne8366 8 місяців тому +2

      As opposed to doing what? How do you know they are oblivious? Per NSW Road Rules 2014 reg 78, sections 1-3, you are allowed to enter an intersection on a red light if it is safe to do so. If there is room on the left you are required to move over. That's about it. Unless you're expecting 5 vehicles to enter the intersection through the red (potentially causing more of an obstruction) or to bust out into the oncoming lane (which most of the emergency vehicles did anyway), there's not much else you can do.
      Most emergency vehicles, if completely land locked in traffic, will kill the sirens to avoid pressuring/spooking people into performing unsafe manoeuvres for just this reason. Sometimes, there'a just no room for anyone to do anything, Oxford St and Bondi Rd being two good examples.

    the stabber was a 40 year old male who had schizophrenia. he was diagnosed with schizophrenia when he was 17, and because he was socially awkward because of it, he was..well..awkward. that’s why he was targeting women, mostly because he was rejected so many times because he had Schizophrenia. the stabber’s dad actually said in a news video “everyone saw a monster, but i saw a sick boy who needed help.” before the stabbing, he started going off his medication, which just made stuff worse…the stabber was eventually killed by a police woman who fatally shot him 3 times.
