@@hikkchik actually, the author pretty literally confirmed many time that grell is a Trans woman, which at the end of the day, makes grell a woman. She never referred to herself as a man, not once. Biologically male, but is trans.
@@hikkchik You guys have to remember that as the manga was first aired in 2007, the mangaka didn't have a lot of knowledge on the topic, or even any research material to just refer to Grell as a trans woman, so it's just implied, but it is quite obvious that that's what Toboso wanted to go for. Other characters referring to her as male doesn't make her one, it's she has a male body, and, based on everything we know about her, a female soul.
