This hobby can really end up making you develop hyper-consumerist habits (like buying deskmats you won't even use) so one advice I could give to you and anyone reading this is : when you see something you might want, try to wait several days before buying it, that way you'll see if it was just a need of the moment or if you really really need it. Sometimes I want something one day and then after two or three days I'm like "you know what it's not important actually". Also don't hesitate to resell or even give away the stuff you regret getting, you will make people with less money in this expensive hobby very happy ! :-)

My only comment on reselling is that the value of these kinds products DEPRECIATES substantially after purchase. 100% agree with the first part though.

thanks! still rocking it, as mentioned in the video, the lumbar support is not the best when you are tilted back , so i am not sure if the price is justified. i am not an expert when it comes to desk chairs, i can only speak from my personal experience. i still love sitting in this chair, so far there is nothing loosening or squeaking x)

wow never seen someone secure a desk with only double tape, but I guess it works ? what a life hack lol. my main hobby outside of keyboards is interior design so a makeover video was extra satisfying to me, you did a great job and this was nice and chill to watch !
it's suuuper sturdy, i just hope i will be able to lift the tabletop off the foundation when we move out at some point ._.

I have the same tape, apparently it loses its stick with water, though I haven't actually tried since I haven't had to remove any of mine yet either. @@ricecloud
@ricecloud Update! I did have to remove mine and it came off easily with heat. A heat g-n is your best bet. Perhaps two heat g-ns while someone lifts the table top.

I also have had eczema since I was a kid. I feel bad for us having to mention that to people, but you don't need to be self conscious! Our skin is different from other's, yet still beautiful :) This was such an amazing and cozy video. Thanks for filming and showing this off!

Love the music and how satisfying everything is. I have the same problem with the spaghetti. I'm 5'3 and ended up getting a cheap table that goes down to 24" and chair from Costco and it's much more ergonomic than a standard desk height. I also love the way you organized your desk pads!

If you decide you don't like the color and do the desktop over again, a water-based sealant won't change the color as much (or at all, depending on the wood) as the oil did. Goes on the same way as what you did here, but I recommend a foam brush or pad.

sorry for the late reply, yes, edifier mr4, they are great, but with my setup now, they are just way too big, but other than that, they are nice, but i am no audiophile, but to me they sound nice. the keycap sets is named cannonkeys hydrangea

Really enjoyed the video. I might have missed it but did you add a support in the middle of the desk? The wood might crack or bow without one. The ikea legs are pretty good and very affordable.
And if you use a monitor arm, I recommend securing ur desktop to the alex drawers with L brackets and screws. The weight of monitor arms and the monitor might not be secure enough with double sided tape.

least expensive is def the pink tkl frl with the green white keycaps (mw stone age) and i think the most expensive is the think6.5 v3 (the one with the blub LED badge on the right side)

at 14:48 i saw a really tiny keyboard and i've looked literally everywhere trying to get one that size!! if i may ask where you got it from? (and if it's a custom made please spare no details!) (｡>﹏
the tiny one is a macropad called voice mini in peach colorway by owlab :) it's a barebone kit, meaning you need to buy your own switches and keycaps
