Correction. The 2.7L with a manual is rated at 7.0 seconds. Not the 8.2 that was told...that is more in line with the automatic V6 or perhaps the 2.0L 4-cyl with a manual.
I bought my 2003 GT V6 new from the dealer, and still dig this car as much as ever.it seems to get faster over time, or maybe my mind is just getting slower, either way this is a fine machine, and way more interesting and fun than the predictable mustangs that are everywhere.

Have all these things other than a remap and can confirm it does almost nothing for performance maybe another 5hp at best just sounds fast. Also remap is pointless as ecu will reset itself over time. Need a piggyback ecu to actually do anything

I enjoy every moment I get to drive this sure footed solid suspension coupe around all these curvy, hilly beautiful landscapes of the back roads of the incredibly picturesque state of North Carolina! 15 years and it still performs like the day it was born, but better.

Yet, companies like Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, and Mitsubishi need turbochargers to reach similar power, Hyundai and Kia need V6’s, and Ford/Chevorlet required V8’s to make 160-190hp.
That was back in the late 90's early 2000's, today Honda is taking the turbo route even more than Toyota or Nissan if you look at the current line up they're offering.
I have a 2005 one of these 2.0l 143bhp I live it mine is the gen 3.5 face-lift novel with the black headlights which I think makes the car look amazing. Easy to service and great for a DIY mechanic. I've done full brake discs and pads upgrade exhaust and was really easy. I service this myself saved alot of money not taking it to a garage.

+letsroll No he is not, he is quoting the official 0-62MPH time which is 8.2 seconds, BTW the official 0-60 MPH time is 7.7 seconds. Official times are always conservative and in real world testing you should be able to get about 7 seconds flat.

+letsroll bullshit. My stock 03 2.7 auto beats the 03 6 speed with headers, cia and a full exaust system easily. Everybody way underrates the automatics, the sequencial gearbox may not be as fun, but it's far superior to the standard. I feel like the people that get those times don't know how to launch. when we test it I average about a 6.8 0-60. With some better tires and some weight reduction I bet I could get it under 6.5.

I have a 2.7 GT with the 6 speed, and although it is quick enough and satisfying for the most part, the car isn't very competitive against most cars. A V6 Camry or V6 Accord will beat it (not even newer ones). It should've came with somewhere about 200hp with 210 lb-ft of torque. It's not very assuring knowing that a 2005 V6 Camry or Accord will beat you.

Explosive Diarrhoea they are not! Theres not many stock cars as old as this with two doors and 150bhp on the road today! Most cars are 80-120bhp and the Hyundai is Japanese engineering the birth of the gtr and many other great cars!
@ The only ones you can compare with are the Mx5 and Celica and the couple would run rings around them performance wise and comfort wise too... The others you mentioned are way to expensive to even compare them with each other.

My 2.0 can get between 6-7 sec so I know your'e not bluffing! I only have a CAI, NGK plugs, and stage 2 clutch.

I don't see how people got this confused with the Ferrari 456. It has the front end of a 550/360 much more than that of a 456.
Look from 3/4 front, side and 3/4 rear view and you will notice the resemblances.
To confuse Coupe/Tiburon with Ferrari... you really have to have no idea about the cars whatsoever.

A gti or a st 170 is quite slow.the v6 have torque and is quick.
